King Vegeta is… Gary Oldman?

Gary OldmanCineactual.net reports that it’s possible that Gary Oldman has landed the role of Vegeta’s father, King Vegeta in the movie. They explain it could be a short cameo at the end of the movie, though keep in mind this is just a rumor at this point.

While waiting since the first teaser-trailer or official picture, it consolidates the rumor that Gary Oldman can interpret Vegeta’s father, King Vegeta part it feels almost like a glove. Although it is slightly larger to interpret the son of the King, could appear in a role somewhat short in this film, perhaps in the end, giving way to the saga of the Warriors Space. We confirm the rumor soon.

UPDATE: The rumor has been confirmed to be false.

Yes!!! The King of Saiyans is here in all his royal splendor.

  2. March 6th, 2008 at 00:51 | #2

Yes the king of all saiyans!!
I hope this rumor is true…. It will be a great introduction to the prince of Saiyans. To show a glimpse of his father first…. If this rumor is true this movie will be the biggest movie of 2009!

hmm…. maybe we will get a sequel afterall, but I hope King Vegeta isn’t alive, he’s suppose to be dead, so maybe they’ll show Vegeta as a child in a cameo or something.. I think they are cutting Radditz which is why Piccolo tells Goku about the saiyans

  4. March 6th, 2008 at 01:49 | #4

Wow, I never thought about that Kaypain! Maybe King Piccolo will tell Goku a brief story of his home planet. and they will show a clip of Vegeta as a child.

Sorry to burst your bubble guys but this is not true…I would be nice if it was, but it ain’t. It’s just a rumor. I’m somewhat disappointed but kinda happy because King Vegeta, all of Planet Vegeta along with almost all the saiyans (except a few) were killed by Freiza around the time when Goku was sent to Earth. and if King Vegeta showed up at the end of the film would kinda…screw the story up and possibly create more bad reactions from the fans. But it’s official that it aint real

“About Gary Oldman: Fake, article has been changed in fact, it wasn’t true.”

Just posted corrections before you commented.

Though I never said this was real, people seem to ignore “rumor” in bold font.

    that sounds awesome!
i read a rumor of him being VEGETA instead of KING VEGETA…

i think he could pull this off if they were to cast him, even if it’s just for a short cameo. he’s very talented.

Why are a lot of people saying it would screw up the story? we have no idea which part the next movie the story would be about… we might see the planet get destroyed? we might see king vegeta is vegeta’s dream? theres no point saying how crap it would be if you have no idea about it…
its a shame gary oldman wont be king vegeta hes a brilliant actor and he im sure he could pull of the king vegeta aggressive look very well
