That being said, I don’t blame Chatwin for the foolishness of the interview to which you link since the reporter, as has been said before, essentially asks him a series of questions that were designed for nothing more than giving the reporter an opportunity to hear herself speak. I also don’t think Chatwin should be expected to be able to handle a bad interviewer just because he reads lines all the time in front of a camera; in a peculiar interview, he has to extemporize, which is something very different from just remembering what a scriptwriter instructed you to say in a movie.

I understand that many here are concerned that the filmmakers have gone too far in exercising their creative license by replacing Kuririn with a generic teenager named Teto/Weaver, but I fear they won’t go far enough. If Fox so chooses to greenlight a Dragonball Z adaptation after this Dragonball one, then it can only be successful if Vegeta is replaced by a guy named Jorge who challenges Goku to a fight over whether Texas should remain part of the US or revert back to Mexico. During the fight, Jorge will reveal that Davy Crockett had been the first Super Saiyan 1000 years ago, and Goku’s Kaio-Ken will be replaced with a similar technique which requires him to yell “Remember the Alamo!” I would suggest having Carrie Underwood and the remaining Bee Gees perform a song especially written to accompany the fight. Hironobu Kageyama can have a cameo appearance in the song by singing one word.

Then tell me he didn’t do a good job. He was nervous. Not all actors know how to handle this much attention.
