They need to get the word out already, otherwise only the ppl that visit this site will go see the movie when it comes out due to their lack of “gettin the word out” lol

RawMeatCowboy. Go to dragonball.com the script thing at the top of the browser says “The Official Dragon Ball Website”. I guess it’s hard to tell because the letters in the logo are squished together.

I wonder why they could be hiding this movie for so long? They are done filming yet not one official image. Heck even GI Joe has a hi-res picture of Snake Eyes and they’re not even done filming.

I agree we need another pic or something!! They can’t expect us to get off from one picture they removed. Come on Fox give us something to get excited about! At least tell us if Oozaru is going to be in the movie.

Sooo…has anybody seen the trailer for Dragon Ball Online? It looks cool but you can’t be a saiyan (not even part saiyan?). You can only be a Majin, human, or namek. At least you can fly (supposedly).

I am one of the biggest fans of DBZ there is owning most of the merchandise that is available in the US, some from Japan, and every single episode ever created. I even have the OVA’s from the Phillipines.

With that said, I think Fox is raping the source material and creating a horrible adaptation of DragonBall. The casting director should be shot on site, the brilliant writer who felt it was necessary to turn Krillin into Teto (a brand new and unrelated character) should be hung in the streets of Durango, and Akira Toriyama should send the Yakuza after Chow and Wong. This is an absolute tragedy. Americanizing one of the most amazing manga series ever created is pure blasphemy.

Finally, this is what I wanted to hear. Not that it came out later, but the fact Fox actually put something official about the movie on their website. Now think, just a few days ago we got an official picture of Teto/Weaver and Emi, and then a couple days later an official picture of a set; and now this. I don’t know what you guys think but I got a feeling were getting something big real soon….I just REALLY hope it’s a trailer, but a poster would be great as well.

Robert, I did see the trailer. It was stated in articles about the game you can’t be a Saiyan. There are saiyans (Raditz, Vegeta, Goku, Trunks) they’re not playable though. Oh and I completely agree with you Steve, you have every right to voice your opinion as much as anyone who supports it here.

I bet if they make a sequel Vegeta will be played by Chris Crocker and Nappa will be played by Zac Efron.

i agree with zanny, you cant hate a movie that you havent seen, at least wait till you see a trailer to start hating it , and even if it does suck, which im sure it wont, i think its better to have this than nothing at all

anyway, i think its gonna rock and you, steve, and probably most of the people that say that hate it are still going to watch it

what i hope we get to see soon if not a trailer is a picture of piccolo… they better have pulled off his look… i’d also like to see if chatwin has beefed up any to fit his role… if he hasn’t he better put on a little weight for the sequel!

If it comes on HBO or Cinemax I might consider watching it, but no, not in theaters. I said I wouldn’t get Tenkaichi 3 and I didn’t. I’m saying I’m not watching this movie and I’m not because I don’t want the sequel to be like this one, which it will be.

You actually think that the photos of Chatwin, list of characters, and storyline described by the director himself aren’t enough for me to not want to see this poor excuse of a DragonBall film?? I can’t believe that anyone who calls themselves a true DBZ fan would be willing to accept Chatwin as Goku. Someone on CountingDown.com put it perfectly when they said he is a much better fit for Android 17 or future Trunks. What ive heard or read about this movie, I must admit that I am not too disappointed about it.. other than the fact that Krillin might not be in it.. actually u know wat, screw Krillin, Im just glad that we are finally gettin a real Live Action DragonBall Movie. It might not be EXACTLY like the freakin anime, but i dun care, thats just the way life is, it never stays the same.
So if ur a “true” dragonball fan, fine thats great, go watch the anime or read the manga. But this is a site for updates about the movie, for ppl that are wanna find out wats goin on and are interested in actually goin to see the movie when it comes out, not for haters, like urself.

Justin Chatwin might not look like Goku, but who this world does? Not even that guy ur talkin about looks like him, the only thing he would have in common with Goku is that he is a martial artist.. and thats it.

Its all about LOOKS. Hes doesnt look buff enough, he’s not asian, his hair is not the same, i mean seriously, its ridiculous how some ppl come up with the these things and hate on it, which most lilely wont even matter in the movie.

If the ppl workin on the movie get a good story together, even if some things have to be changed, fine by me. Its all about a good story, effects, music and most important ACTING. If the acting is horrible, then wat good would it do for the movie. Most of these asians u guyz wouldve liked to play as Goku cant act for shit and who in the hell would want that.

Zanny, if that’s the case, Chatwin better be a darn good actor. I saw him in WotW and his performance was…less than stellar in my opinion. They need some good character-actors, I don’t care how they look because if it were all CGI it wouldn’t make a bit of difference guys, the balls are inert.

VEX, to anwere your question about whether or not Chatwin beefed up. No. There are some pictures of him from around the end of filming and he looked the same to me. I think when they said he was ‘training’ with 87eleven or whatever the studio is called, I’m 99% sure they meant he was just training for the choreography (practicing fight scenes it sounds like)

Well Justin Chatwin has to (obligation) build some muscle for the Sequel. I have no problem with Chatwin being lean for this film seeing as Goku was also not muscular in “Dragonball” but when the Saiyan’s arrive Goku is pretty buff. Hopefully Chatwin is working out as we speak to prepare for the sequels.

I enjoy coming to Dbthemovie.com, because everyone here wants to see the movie. This is one of the best Db sites out there. We all may disagree on alot of things, but we don’t attack the movie. He is from the planet Vegeta not from earth, and if you want my opinion he looks like he could be both. Now the sequel is a sure thing. I hope they do it like Potter movies where they go every year with one. It makes the wait to see fusion alot more less.

I am getting tired of the dates being changed as well..stick to one freaking date and dont change it…but April 2009 come on that’s too long..yes it is a lot of time to make it better but im sure they don’t need that much time…Joon Park said it’s comin out late this year or early next year so i believe him since he’s in the movie…it just better not be April 2009..considering they are already talking about the sequel being shot in 2009…if they keep delaying these movies we’ll all be 30 before the series is done and no one will care anymore….so choose a date and stick with it..stop channging it!..and for god sakes release some pictures or a teaser already i can’t take the suspense anymore!

I am probably the biggest fan in here, but, you all know this movie is going to be the most retarded crap-ass movie ever made and a TOTAL disgrace to DB! You know this right? I’m still going to see it but I have no expectations of this ever being entertaining! They will destroy what could have been a great movie!

Ok I am a very faithful fan of Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and even Dragonball GT. Even tho people were disappointed about dbgt i still liked it for the pure fact that the even decided to continue the Dragonball story.

I honestly believe what steve says is exactly true… Except the guy who is doing goku…i mean yeah he’s nothing like goku….but they could of at least did a better job to make him look like goku. In all truth and we all know it they screwed up the story line BADLY.

Even tho this has happened i will still go see it for the pure fact it is Dragonball. I loved it when i was a kid and i’m not gonna stop from watching it because of some idiots in fox the studios screwed up the true manga story.

I hope they read these comment nice and clearly and i hope they realize that they need to do a remake. I say go see the movie give them a profit…but after you see it give your reviews about it. Let them know what the hell they did wrong. Complaining now won’t do nothing b/c i’m sure there hurtin for money as it is.

I am very sad that they did this…but i hope they remake it or at least do another movie but alot better then this. And at least make a live action movie of the actual anime…. for example lord slug, worlds strongest, or even tree of might. Not in any kind of order just somewhere to start.

But as for ranting now….i think its terrible how they say that goku was a normal kid who didn’t know about his true powers…well you got half of it right about that BUT he wasn’t normal at all….he was consider an alien for the pure fact he was a sayjin. And the whole highschool is completely out of hand…goky never went to highschool. And no krillin is just stupid. Plus the set up they have for the environment looks nothing like the Dragonball we all know and love. The people who were working on this movie needs to watch the anime/manga alot more before the go and change everything about it. And even then theres no need to change anything, If we wanted Dragonball live action….then damn it we want the actual story…its not like no body cared about this show.

Advice..go see it and FOX!!!……do a remake or at least try another movie idea
