Anyway! Yay again for Marsters! I’m just wondering, though . . . why is he the only cast member we ever hear talking about Dragonball? o_O; Oh well, later on when the press tour happens, we’ll get a bunch of info/interviews then. ^^

According to Dragonballfilm.over-blog.com we won’t be getting any official pictures or cool posters for awhile.

Good point, Marsters and Rossum are the only characters who have had much to say about this movie, I wonder why?

I have been looking at this site frequently for a long time, but decided to make a profile so I can comment on these vids.

Its going to be a while until we get some interviews, appearances on Late night talk shows, etc.

Yeah, I have seen pictures of chatwins new hair, but I would really like to see a good quality set picture with this outfit, and everything.

I wonder if Piccolo with have the same attire, the black on black robes. Or maybe purple, I can’t remember. But I remember reading somewhere about some costume designer who made futuristic alien costumes, and hopefully they wont change them too much.

I have a feeling James Marsters is going to be better then the original King Piccolo, because he is already talking about bulking up for a sequal. I like James, because he tells us fans what we want to hear. Plus he’s freakin’ cool! He is a Dragonball fan!!!!

Hm, If there is a sequel, and if Piccolo is in it, I wonder if he will be portrayed by Marsters again? That would be pretty stupid, especially if it’s like DB & DBZ, them being two different characters. And if so, who would be a good choice for another Piccolo? For some reason, I have a feeling they will keep marsters.

News is quite sparse right now considering the time frame. I think the fact that Adam has been this detailed and thorough with the news is very impressive and he deserves props for giving us every drop that comes out of the media.
It’s interesting enough to hear from Marsters as he’s a very cool guy who has shown nothing but enthusiasm for the film.

On the other topic, to say Chatwin doesn’t care about “Dragonball” is simply fan drivel. Marsters has a greater fan following and due to his mobile career (hopping from “Dragonball” to “Smallville” …etc…) he’s in greater view of the public eye.
Marsters is the one being interviewed– He hasn’t come out to say anything about the movie unless fans or reporters have asked for it. Has anyone interviewed or asked Chatwin about anything? Nope. And seeing as FOX doesn’t want their actors to say much about the film it makes it hard for any of the actors to update fans on the movie. (Other than information we already know.)
Saying Chatwin doesn’t care is simply premature.

Who cares about Chatwin? One interview with him was enough for me to be thouroughly sickened by him being involved in the movie.

I agree with GMAN, now that I think ’bout it. After all, if Marsters’ agent is constantly telling him not to talk about DB, then I suppose Fox is telling that to the other actors as well, who, you’ll notice, haven’t actually been interviewed for anything lately anyway.

The “interview” in Mexico (in which you could barely understand the interviewer, and he was sort of caught off guard) DID suck. I’ve seen other interviews with him, however (ACTUAL interviews), and he’s always seemed funny, talkative, and good natured in those, so.

James has quite a few projects airing and in the works right now and those in the media generally love him & seek him out ‘cuz he gives such good interviews. Of course it helps that he’s a very chatty guy

Expect to hear more from him soon because he has convention appearances the weekend of April 11-13 and will undoubtedly be asked many questions about Dragonball. I’m sure most of it will rehash what we already know, but I bet he sneaks in some non-spoilery tidbits about his experience filming.

The lack of comments from any of the other principal actors doesn’t surprise me, given the stusio gag rule and how far we are from release. Wait until a trailer or two are released before it shows up on any mainstream media outlet’s radar.

Oh, and James is correct that girls *do* like man boobs.

James has some lovely ones too ~ see Buffy season 6 (just about any episode), altho thank God James won’t be sporting the anorexic look for Dragonball!

I have no doubt that if James Marsters is kept as Piccolo for the sequels that he will give 100% meaning that he will bulk up by a substantial amount. I’m hoping that Justin Chatwin will have the same amount of dedication and will keep working out so he can increase in muscle mass.

Justin Chatwin’s movie appearances have always been great. He’s a great actor, very talented.

Wow, Mandy you really think so? Based on YouTube comments I’ve read with videos of him, he seems more of the eye-candy for teenage girls- type, like Orlando Bloom or Johnathan Taylor Thomas back in the 90s.

I’d have to disagree with you on him though. I just wanted to knock his lights out in War of the Worlds. I found him to be extremely annoying. I don’t see any talent or charisma in him, he’s very booooring, although he seems like a nice person so I’ll give him that.

I’ve seen Justin Chatwin in Lost, The Chumscrubber, War of the Worlds, and The Invisible and I think he’s a fine actor, not AWESOME, but hes still good.

Yes, i found him quite annoyin in WOTW, too. But i think that was his character, not his actin skills.
And u should really see him the Chumscrubber, he was really good in that one, u can find it on youtube somewhere.

Chatwin’s best work was actually in that episode of Lost you spoke of. He added a lot to that episode.

Movie’s looking really nice. I love the way they’re going with this. I’m assuming they’re going for a more “What if it was real” / Sci-fi tone than fantasy/anime style. I’m gonna love the fight scenes. The drama, I’m wondering why no-one has even thought of how the drama will be. I can only find one word to express my expectations for this movie.

Mandy is right!!!! I saw Justin Chatwin in the “Invincible” and he did an excellent job. The “Invincible” was ok and all, but I was more excited about Chatwin’s acting. Chatwin’s acting was very good!! I liked seeing his facial expressions in the “Invincible”, because it was similar to Goku’s facial expressions. Anyways, im so happy to see Chatwin play Goku, because we can watch him grow. Just like we watch Goku grow up

Corey don’t worry man, I’m just fine. And I don’t hate Justin, I just haven’t seen him put as much effort into giving us the news as James has. I know Fox is probably all over there asses, but if James can have good interviews, and Emmy Rossum and Eriko Tamura can have good blogs and myspaces with updates; then why can’t Justin give us something? He’s the only other actor I want to hear from, because he’s the main character in this movie whether people like it or not….and I just wanna hear his perspective on things, like his charcter for one. He’s Goku man, so why can’t he give us something more to look forward to in his role?

In the Fast and the Furious 1, the main character (forgot his name) was supposed to be the star, but Vin Diesel ended up being the star because of his great acting. Same thing will happen here. Goku is supposed to be the star but James Masters will end up being the star.

As far as I know, Chatwin is doing some indie projects right now . . . and it’s not like the media would be scrambling to interview a relitively (as of now) unknown start about a low-key, non-commercial movie. XD There’s also Fox’s gag order no to speak about the movie yet.

Marsters, however, is in the spotlight more, as he’s doing several more noticeable things (Torchwood, etc.). He also doesn’t seem to mind slipping in Dragonball tidbits now and again, despite Fox’s request NOT to, haha. . . .
