CGing hair is the most retarded thing EVER. Especially since, if they wanted it lengthened and black, they could’ve easily had a wig plopped on him, styled it, and saved everyone in post-production their time and money. And if they’re going for “realism,” they would probably want to get pretty far away from Goku’s crazy anime-styled hair, anyway. o_O

Actually, about the hair. I do remember reading somewhere that they use wigs, and the hair will remain true to the series, in fact it was commented that it looked “amazingly true” to the series.

in my opinion ernie hudson is korin. think goku makes it up kami/korin’s tower and meets ernie hudson. then fights some people to prove himself to get the sacred water

this look wird, why they just dont do a new dragon ball movie whit out using the names of gokuu and etc they could use new caracters and it will make me and everybody happy and leave gokuu and otehr in peace, but this will suck but still i will wach it dragonball is part of me but probably i will just pay for anotehr movie and get inside dragonball becuz this does not deserve my money it sucks whit whit teh pictures i can tell it sucks. im sad verry sad

Yeah, that’s definitely James — same face, same hair style (that I’ve seen of him in recent interviews, that is), etc.

James Marsters isn’t in any of the pics…i don’t think even Chatwin is, thats Chatwin’s stunt double.

TBH i think it looks awful, i get no Dragonball feeling from it at all…if Roshi looks like he does in those pics then that is very dissapointing. 1 of the main reasons i really liked Roshi in the show was because he’s an old comedic, perverted but skilled man…i’m just not feeling that in this image of him….oh and the tournament looks awful too imo…looks like a bad sequel to “Bloodsport”.

oh and also I would try and keep an open mind about all the little details in the movie like the blue hair or the fact that every single char. doesnt stay 100% true to the anime..
its called an adaption for a reason, if you were to watch a film where the actors acted like the anime it would look plain stupid and very cheezy..go watch dragon ball the magic begins and you’ll see exactly what im talking about.
if you want another one of those then WOW this movie wont be for you.
But believe me i can tell this movie is going to be great in its own way even if it doesnt match up everything the manga had to offer like full blue hair or comedic/perveted attitudes and what not.
It will create a NEW look on the story with a more mature style and realistic attitude. Watch the CARTOON series if you want all that other stuff.

They’ve been shootin since like november.. or was it december.. either way, they just finished filimin near the end of march, so i think thats not bein too rushed at all.

Everything looks pretty good. But the one thing that ’s bugging me is that tournament arena. Is it supposed to be the big tenkiachi tournament in the anime? If it is, then it sucks. If it’s not, then it’s alright.

As per the pics , they look great .Also we have to take into consideration that this are not post production pics therefore they won’t look amazing. Once they do the post production pics they are going to look much better which is good.

Anyone that does not want to watch this movie just stay away and keep watching the cartoon , simple as that. I’m thankful that they are at least making an action movie and that it looks decent.

Anyways the arena in the original Dragonball didn’t look that good dude. It looked good, but not that good. I better see some Kamahamaha’s and some alwsome fighting in there. they renewed my hopes that had fallen a bit by the previous set of pics
i think the little details count a lot (bulmas hair, roshis appearance, gokus gi, etc) taken apart they are not a big deal but if you put it all together, the movie will feel waaaaay more dragonballish, obviously if all blue hair looks stupid just give her a little blue, same with other details

that way, big stuff like goku being in highschool wont hurt as much to the fans
i think these little details are very important,,, for me, it makes all the difference

anyways, its gonna be awesome, thats not james, and if it is, its before he put his makeup on, doesnt mean he wont look green in some part of the movie, maybe they are just goofing around

It’s a nice looking arena sure, but the one in the anime was epic. It was huge, and outdoors with a giant audience.

The arena of Dragonball was much smaller than the one in Dragonball… the only difference from the Movie to the anime is that it appears to be indoors… perhaps this is the preliminary arena?

Just to remind all who thinks this looks cheesy… Take a look at the set pictures from 300 before all the digital imaging… it looked soo cheesy, but with the lighting and graphics this movie will look top notch, especially since we have the digital imagers from 300 do this movie.

That is Chatwin’s stunt-double btw, did you guys miss his video that was posted? He was practicing martial arts in a gym- and if I remember correctly it was the same guy.

well..i dont really know the series but im sure this will be a hit. its probably one the most anticipated/questionable movies ever since lord of the rings, in my opinion. well we’ll just wait and see..ill still go see it because i enjoy chow yun fat, and james mardsters. so ya looks cool.

Yeah it wouldn’t be bad to see Krillin in this movie, but to me he does seem expendable like Adam said. He might be Goku’s best friend and all, but if he isn’t in this movie and it still rocks the house (I ALREADY KNOW IT WILL) then we won’t have to worry about Krillin anymore for the sequel, cause I know he will be in it for sure. But if he is in this movie, they should only mention him because he was dead in the Piccolo saga, which would be completely stupid for him to be alive. He can be mentioned like at the beginning or maybe at the end, which would provide him enough credibility to be in the sequel, if and only if it’s successful enough for a sequel.

J.S. the fullum assassins are made up. They were never in the manga. The manga had King Piccolo’s demons like Tamborine, Cymbal, and Drum who to me are a lot more interesting than these fullum assassins aka Puddy Patrol from Power Rangers.

i am a fan of dragon ball since i was a child… i think we the fans are expecting a lot in this movie i hope james wong wont let us down….
