Dragonball on Mexican TV

April 16th, 2008 Leave a comment Go to comments

Dragonball was recently discussed on a Mexican TV show. It’s all in Spanish, but we’ve got a translation below.

Translation after the jump.

Here is a rough translation from craigdbfan:

The guy with the mustache talks about how he saw them filming a couple of scenes and saw the costumes and is also willing to say that around 70-80% of the film will be done in post-production (going to be heavy on special effects). He then states because of the fact they haven’t seen the finished product they’re not really sure what to make of the film. He states that there was a fan on the set who had many questions and one of his questions was when exactly does this take place within the Dragonball mythos. The man who is being interviewed then reveals that this takes place during the end of Dragonball and during the beginning of Dragonball Z ( Giving a reason as to why Goku is 18). He also talks about how 20th Century Fox didn’t ( and still doesn’t) want to release the least bit of information regarding the plot. He states that when he wanted to ask a question they would tell him to quiet down and not ask about anything about the film that would reveal to much. This is important he states that they might give a prologue during the beginning of the film showing Goku as a child he then says this is all speculation of course because 20th Century Fox wouldn’t release any information regarding the plot.

    I would really like to see a prologue of gokus child hood or even some flash backs maybe of him losing his tail and what not. Does anyone think they will have the great ape in the movie? If there is going to be that much special effects maybe we will see one. Either way Im so pumped for this movie even if they did americanize the shit out of it the action scene will be amazing with the crew they have. I want to see the energy use nothing like alittle kamehameha! to set the movie back on track.

    @http://www.myspace.com/coreywilson10: It’s not my fault, it’s JP’s.

    He didn’t tell me he wouldn’t be available for 6 weeks. So, I might need to find another co-host.
