Interest in Trilogy

April 26th, 2008 Leave a comment Go to comments

El Siglo de Durango posted a small article on the money Durango gained from Dragonball. They also stated the production team was interested in two other movies to be filmed in Durango.

Spills

The last film that was made on an entity left a spilled over 15 million for the hotel industry, and the last three months has been the best period in history in the entity on hotel occupancy, he said.

For three months was maintained between 80 to 90 percent and nearly 30 days was a record of 100 percent in six hotels of between four and five stars, ie were 24 thousand quarts-night.

This was only in occupation, not counting the casting which was conducted for the recruitment of thousand people who participated as extras.

Expected

He said it must seize this kind of footage because Durango is a place in film history, at this point would be the best hook for the promotion coupled with the same directors who contemplate the possibility of returning to the entity.

He noted that they were very interested in continuing a second and third stages of filming.

Nothing too new, but interesting nonetheless.

    @Jacksterson: Yeah, it seems Durango is benefiting from the production of Dragonball; I guess this can be news. I’m just glad how accurate everyone is being on all news Dragonball related, especially to Craig for all the big and small scoops. No doubt this is the best site for any Dragonball movie news, and we should give a BIG thanks to the one who put together and made it all happen. That’s your que Adam, it’s okay to bow :wink:

    @Sean: Thanks. For the record, craig didn’t find this but he has found a lot of other news.

    Thanks for the compliments Sean I highly appreciate them. I’m quite thankful that we have Adam to, if it weren’t for his constant dedication to this film we wouldn’t have a lot of this great information/news that keeps us updated on the progression of this film. ( JP from dragonballmovieblog has also been one of the key contributers for information on this film also).

    :-)

    While we’re at it, I’d like to thank Movieland for all the leaked information they have given us in the past. Without them, we would have had hardly any news when Dragonball was filming. :-)

    That kind of scares me that they’re planning a trilogy in Durango. If that is so then it would mean this movie, then next one would be *maybe* saiyan saga and then if they were going by DBZ next would be freeza saga but they couldn’t do that in durango too. I think that would be a disaser.

    But who know’s they might just rewrite the script entirely and the next two have nothing to even do with DBZ, Saiyan Saga or Freeza altogether

  8. April 26th, 2008 at 22:36 | #8

    @josh: Green screen…

    April 26th, 2008 at 22:40 | #9

    @Craig: @Adam: Your welcome

    @josh: The scenery from the saiyan saga match perfectly for the area of Durango, what’s wrong with that? And the Frieza saga doesn’t necessarily have to be completely shot in Durango, no, some can be shot there and then some with green/blue screen, and then mostly will probably be shot in set departments in L.A, as said before.

    you can’t thank marsters enough, or adam and craig for that matter. they don’t get paid to talk about the movie like marsters does.

    @sean: dude, what’s wrong with my attitude :? ? oh and i am a woman.

    April 26th, 2008 at 23:34 | #15

    @Tegan: I have the worst arguments with women, how in the hell am I suppose to know if Tegan is a woman’s name? Seriously, I don’t even think I’m pronouncing it right. Is it like Tea-gan, or Teh-gan, oh wait maybe it’s Teh-gone. It seems I always end up arguing with a woman, how awkward, but it did seem you were a little angry, but of course I always end up apoloigizing too, I apologize if I offended you babe :mrgreen:

    @Sean: hey, it’s okay, it sound like i was angry. i literally just got home from work, that’s were i was with the last posts. anyway i was there for sixteen and a half hours today, i would not recomend that you ever do that. oh, my name is pronounced with a long e and the a sounds like a short i.

    News just gets lamer and lamer. Even the stuff with Alex Tuis being able to put his name on IMDB. But at least thats a sign that now Fox is releasing more information. Maybe we can get some other actors names.

    A Dragon Ball trilogy would be awesome! Especially if the 1st movie is a hit. I hope the Dragon Ball movie(s) can really help keep the Dragon Ball franchice alive. DBZ forever!!
