I”m sorry but i been waiting for dbz to come to life for so long . and to be honest
this cast just doesnt dot it , i understand that it would be very hard to find the cast but they look bad so week and bone looking . its just not what people want its time they put more effort in to making movies look at what they done to street fighter , mortal combat , this is such a good franchise .
i just dont want to see it go dowen in flames . dbz racks !!!!!!!!!!!

THIS LOOKS HORRIBLE! How can all you people say this looks even remotely good? First of all..all you people that are so concerned about his hair..holy S#@&…who cares…Look at the actor. He’s a scrawny little nothing. Have any of you people ever even seen DB, DBZ, or GT? Goku is supposed to be the supreme martial arts savior of the world and they have this little punk playing him? And he’s wearing a T-Shirt? …WTF? He doesn’t look like he could even punch a hole through a piece of paper. The guy could play Krillin at best, but then he’d have to shave that hideous mess of hair they are trying to pass of as Goku.

I was excited for this movie when I first heard it was coming out..but the more I look into it and the more I see posts like this about the movie..the more and more I begin to dread its release. From what I’ve seen the creators of this are going to completely murder the story and the visuals are just sad.

I’ll check it out, and I only pray that my complete lack of expectation for greatness is wronged and this movie ends up living up to the standards of the fans of the Dragonball anime series.

Yeah I know I know, I’m completely aware that there are plenty of dumbfucks out there who actually BELIEVES that goku looks more white than asian (despite the fact that goku has black hair, black eyes and a fucking non-Caucasian name), its pointless to argue with those idiots just leave them alone. Anyway even though the anime/manga is japanese, this one is an AMERICAN MOVIE so I seriously doubt they want to cast an asian guy as the main character.

I just watched the movie and all of you who talk shit seriously piss off. It was good and it’s just the first movie so it will progress and he will beef up and Goku’s anime hair is hard as hell to copy with real hair. He ends up wearing the suit by the end of the movie and no he’s not Asian but he plays the part GREAT! Watch it and you’ll see. It’s a little different than the series but who cares it’s Dragonball Z! It’s like what they did to Star Trek ( I loved that too!)

Goku is considered and perceived as an Asian because he was based on a Chinese Folk Tale character named Sun Wukong. He’s name is a direct translation from Chinese to Japanese. He is also based on the famous Chinese Actor named Jackie Chan. He’s clothes are also based on the Shaolin Monks of China.

In the Anime no one notices that he’s an alien until his brother Raditz revealed it(Saiyan Saga). Everybody thought he’s the real grandson of Grandpa Gohan so they were shocked when they found out that he’s an alien. So he passed as an Asian in terms of the looks department.

When Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan he DOESN’T turn white. In fact his facial structure like eyes, nose, lips and jaw still remains the same even when his transformed into a Super Saiyan. The only thing changed is his hair and eye color. His eyes turn to GREEN and his hair becomes GOLDEN. It is a reference to the Monkey King because Sun Wukong also has Golden hair.

So it is really a big mistake and an insult that they’ve casted a white guy to play Goku. Just imagine if they cast a Black man or a Chinese guy as Superman? How would you and the Superman fans feel?
