THIS MOVIES GONNA SUCK WHEN THEY ANNOUNCED THAT HOLLYWOOD GAVE A GREEN LIGHT TO A JAPANESE MOVIE.. THATS WHEN ALL STRAT TO SUCKS BIG TIME.. SO DONT BE SOME JERKS AND THINK THAT THIS MOVIE IS GONNA ROCK.. PLEASEEEEEEEEEE!! THE JAPANESE CREATORS AND STAFF THEY MUST BE REAL MAD AT THIS IDEA OF MAKING A MOVIE OF DRAGON BALL.. IF I WAS THEM I’D NEVER SELL THE RIGHTS FOR IT AND SUE THEM IF THEY STILL MAKE THE MOVIE..

First off, where is Goku’s tail? Second, This actor lack musculature, even boy Goku has more chest mass than this guy. Third, Emu hair style, goku has wild longer hair! If you want a more impressive and more accurate look of the Saiyuki, Journey West, the tale from which the CHARACTER Son Goku is taken from, look at the Monkey King from Forbidden Kingdom, played by Jet-Li. Now, there is a Son Goku worth something. Now if they show him ridding the Cloud and with the Nyoibo then they might be on to something. Oh, by the way, I know Saiyans (Saiyuki!) look almost like humans, But they are aliens!. Anyway, this version of Goku is actually a mix between the Mythical Legends of Son Goku (who wears a limiter circlet) and Momotaro, the boy found in a pea pod than when he grows up becomes a Demon slayer. Coincidentaly anyone with a little bit of accumen can reason that the limiter aspect(circlet) is acomplished by cutting Goku’s tail, this reducing his powers, and the fact that the saiyan arives in a space-pod(pea pod) is contrived to replace the story device in the original tale that Son Goku was trapped in a stone for 500 years before the Monk Sanzo(Real name Genjo) unseals him. Coincidentally, if you make a comparison of the whole thing, this all looks very similar to the story of Superman, where little Kal El is send in a pod(pea pod), to earth, grows up and fights super powered villains(demons). Also the fact that there are green charaters in both sories(Martian Man Hunter in Superman, and Piccolo in DB, DBZ,) is too much for coincidence, it creeps me out! Either the Masterminds of this stories are trying to tell us something, probably about the past, long ago, or they are stealing each others Ideas. Anyway, I recommend that before you go watch this movie you read some of the Epic Tales regarding Japanese Mythology, the ones dealing with Momotaro, and Saiyuki, or watch the anime by the same name.

To wrap it up, Dragonball is an original tale, heavy with esoteric, mystical connotations based in an awesome Myth and legend. In other words, These guys have in their hands a treasure and I hope they can deliver, Else they tempt the Bodhisattvas and Buda-Kami in sending the Giant Monkey to stomp them into oblivion

@Adam: Well I know he’ll wear normal clothing during parts of the movie, they do want to make it more realistic, but I atleast want to see him in the orange gi, and maybe even fight in it. (By the way, it is written without the periods, just “gi”, I am a martial artist)

goku is too tall, where are master roshi’s glasses and shell? bulma is cute but where is her teal hair? is it just me or is one version of the dragonball impossible to tell what it is?
