When I was a child, I had a lot of Japanese friends, I was familiar with Dragonball’s characters. Manga is a part of my life. Yamcha is an ironic and humorous character. He talks tough, but actually he is soft and a little weak on the inside. Please pay attention to his change through the journey.Bulma – Emmy Rossum
Bulma is very funky, sexy and strong-minded, a wonderful character. I’m very happy to be able to play this role. I feel responsible for this role because there are many fan of the original manga. We are working hard to please the fans.Master Roshi – Chow Yun-Fat
Master Roshi is a very funny guy. Anyway… he’s funny (laugh) Indeed, it is my first time in my career to play a manga character like this. Normally I can’t play a 300 year old man, but I enjoy playing this role. The director is doing good job, I think he mixes Eastern and Western culture well.Dragonball is the best-seller manga from Weekly Shonen Jump. Original manga is made up of 42 volumes in a epic story. The animation has aired overseas, and has hardcore fans all over the world. But how will they make it into a movie ?
“Original manga is definitely a classic. Due to time constraints, I’m sorry I can’t adopt all the wonderful things from the original, but I’m happy I’m involved in this movie and I think it turned out well. I think the manga readers will find [many] things they have liked in the manga, that is, the spirit of the original,” director James Wong said.
Final Destination (2000), The One (2001) and etc. have received high acclaim for [their] own visual style, and we are anticipating the visual stylings in Dragonball!

To be honest though, the only actor doesn’t seem to fit the look of there role is Jamie Chung as Chi Chi. I would have liked the other girl that they originally wanted. I forget her name.

Chow yun knows how to switch his roles. He really gets into his roles!! I thought he did such an amazing job in Crouching Tiger hidden dragon. I can’t wait to see him talk

Man. these are AMAZING PICS, the only thing i am concerned about for the movie is goku’s voice, in the anime, goku was always cheerful and laughed alot. i hope Justin chatwin isnt too emo or anything. but any ways, all the chracters look really good.

For me, Yamcha came out a lot better than expected. LOL, he’s got sunglasses in the pic and Roshi doesn’t. However, Chi Chi seems a little out of character in that picture. It’s still cool though. This recent bombardment of great news seems as if it’s gonna give us all a heart attack! Thanks Adam!

when I first saw Chi Chi I was thinking dang, why won’t they show her in character, now I guess that is her chracter but I well yamcha still looks awesome. Its gonna bereally funny to see how yamcha personality will tur out. Maybe he is going to run Away from bulma like in the anime lol
I dont think thats a pic of Chi-Chi in character, I mean look at all the other pics it shows, everyone is in what looks like a scene fromt he movie, and the one with Jamie Chung just looks like some kind of picture for something else. Idk, maybe it is from the movie but it just doesnt seem like it to me. However, Yamcha looks awesome and so does Roshi. (OMG HAIR) From these pics, this movie seems like it wont blow. Yay!

It all looks good, except for Chow. I think it’s cool to take creative liberties, but he’s not bald….he doesn’t have glasses…and no beard. I’m not against Goku, Bulma or Yamcha, but unless Chow pulls off the lecherous character…it’s going to upset me.
It looks more like Chow went on vacation and got stuck in a DB movie.

I think the biggest thing thats giving me hope is Stephen Chow producing this, besides the character interpretations being great. Although, I still don’t think that’s an actual character photo of Jamie Chung.. but if it is, can’t complain about what Chi Chi would be wearing, as long as she “feels” like Chi Chi through her acting.
One thing that’s coming off as strange to me is that Mai will be in the movie, but no Pilaf. I assume they’ll just introduce her as someone who works for Piccolo.
And, maybe I missed out on this somewhere, but is James Marsters playing Piccolo (as in Ma Junior) or Piccolo Daimao?

The film studio in USA take a cool manga or video game of Japan to make a movie that sucks a lot. And finaly it’s a success because many dumb-ass think that’s a really cool movie.
