*cough* Thank God James Wong re-did it. I changed my mind on actually liking it. I was really turned off abouy Pilaf and the chemistry between Goku and Bulma. It would be cool if Yamcha did have a ‘normal’ cat that did still things from people with it’s ALL POWERFUL CUTENESS-

And yeah, Goku was a bit emo-ish. Emo’s ok, but not with a happy-go-ucky, fun loving persona like Goku. Sure, maybe he’s starting to see in school that he’s not popular, that he’s different- but that was ridiculous.

And for Goku, who made fun of my typo… Obliterated. There we go. I meant, obliterated. There- everyone’s happy.

Blah. Steal… not still. Damn. What is with my damned writing lately. I’m usually better then this.

I hope Wong and Chow tore this thing to shreds and changed a lot. The dialog is awful and horribly cliche of crappy, generic superhero movies, Goku’s character is disappointing, and the card games . . . need I say more? D: Also, Chi-Chi better have a larger role and a backbone in the rewrite. This Goku/Bulma stuff doesn’t fly with me. XD

Okay, my last comment might have been a bit unfair. There were plenty of things I DID enjoy of this early draft . . . but right now, my disappointments are all I’m really focusing on. XD Let’s just say that there’s plenty that I hope Wong and Chow have tampered with and changed. It’s a nice start, but . . . ergh.

Just got finished reading this and I am glad this isn’t the final draft. While it was an entertaining script (and they got Master Roshi perfectly), it just didn’t feel like Dragonball to me.

Thank god it isn’t the final draft (or should I say “Thank Kami”? umm… )

I think it’s excellent first Draft!! If I was Fox I would take the script and hire someone like James Wong to rewrite it so it can fit more with Db and Dbz. The script is very entertaining!! it’s just in the wrong direction that’s all. So I say keep it!!

“Ok everyone Lets get Goku to play arcade games and Dragonball Burst limit.” But you have to admit the script was still entertaining and you wanted to read more.

It was entertaining to READ, but I will go psycho in the movie theater if anything close to this script happens…… Let’s have a dragonball party, call bulma hot, and romantically dip and kiss chi-chi…..Ben Ramsey-fanboy- or whoever wrote this sucks more than Oolong.

@Chase2007: I agree, but it’s only a first draft!! So you can’t take it that point…. I mess up plenty of times when im writting a song. The first idea always s*cks, but then it gets better and better as I work with it. James Wong proved to us that he had to change it so you really can’t say what if this came in the theaters. James WOng changed all of Ben Ramsey cheesy ideas, but kept the plot.

The plot my friends is good and so is the dialogue…. The ideas s*Cked and so did the background info.

The main thing I hated about it, is that Ramsey tried to include EVERY character. Pilaf, Shoe, Nimbus, Puar, Oolong, and ox king? I mean comon…

i started to read it then i stopped.i preferred to watch it.but people are sayings its a nice draft.which is awesome =D. btw,i know for guarantee that this movie will top Iron Man’s Box office

That is very fan written. Those saying fans would never take the time to do that…it’s been done many times, leaked and all to look real, it really only takes a week to pump out a partially convincing first draft, doing an outline would take the longest, and if done right, the actual script writing would only take a day(especially with poorly written dialogue as seen in this script).

It’s very obvious whoever wrote that had very little idea of what a script is supposed to look like. I’m not talking about storytelling wise but screenplay wise, no actual screenwriter would write a script like that or use half the things that are in the draft. It’s very fake, I must say it’s a well done fake, even though I wouldn’t call it “good” but for a quick fan made script it’s not as terrible as it could be.

I won’t be asshole and 100% declare it’s fan made and bet my life on it. But I’d bet money on it.

There were elements in the script I liked and not all the dialogue was terrible. So I got to give some thumbs up to whoever wrote this, I’m sure they’re proud of their work. They should be, I’ve seen much worse.

@Tommy: That’s exactly what happened in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. Tons of MK characters thrown for 2 seconds…and if you saw that movie, I’m sure you’ll agree with me that it sucked.

@Tommy: I don’t know if it’s fake or not, but it seems legit to me. Who else would put Emperor Pilaf in the story line and put board games? Bill Ramsey!! I don’t know any Dragonball fans who will do something that stupid. I can’t see a fan doing this script, because the fans will find a way to put Vegeta in the story line. Which will be totally stupid considering this is based on the King Piccolo saga.

Well I think that this is a first draft by Ben Ramsey, and it was quite entertaining but very incorrect with Dragonball. I did like Bulma’s character but not the chemistry between Goku and Bulma. The scrpit also reminds me of Star Wars:IV-VI soooooo much. 1. Between the relationship with Grandpa Gohan and Goku (uncle Owen and Luke). 2. The death of Gohan to Lukes family. 3. The jealousy factor going on between Bulma, Goku, and Yamcha(Empire strikes back). 4. Piccolo/Pilaf telling going he is destined to serve the namekjins(“Luke join me and together we can rule the galaxy” -D.V.) I enjoyed the script about 55% of it…the other 45% I hope they adapt more into the manga’s.

This isn’t real man, when i first heard ages ago that wong rewrote the script i was like hum wonder what the first one was like.. well i’m glad i found out, because there was some stuff in that script i doubt fox would put in a movie i mean what age they putting this out at?, i mean burnt corpse’s?. also what about the clips of the tournament that where not in the script… and piccolo in white when in pic’s he’s wearing black…

well, first of all, real or not, all i know is that I refuse to make any judgements until an actual trailer and the movie released finally because even if this is a real first draft of the script, then it would mean it’s probably been rewritten about a million times already, so i’m sure the version myself and everyone here will see, in theatres, will be totally different than this version. Although, I do agree with some people on here about this script doing justice to master roshi, bulma and yamcha. Plus, i liked the idea of mai being a shape shifter and glad to hear thats not going to change for the movie. However, I thought, the emo goku was a bit much and seemed like a rip off of Peter Parker if you ask me. Plus, i agree with everyone here that dragon ball board game and video game, and cards were kind of fruity (thats putting it lightly). Especially the part where Goku navigates through Pilaf/Picollo’s fortress using the blue print of what he saw in the game. Boy, was that freakin stupid. However, for the most part, I found the story entertaining from what i read. Unfortunately, from reading this cheesy first draft, some definite changes will need to be addressed for this movie to be a hit. One Goku, has to be Goku, and not a rip off of Peter Parker, from Spider-Man. The love story with Chi-Chi and Goku needs to be redone to be more realistic like how Bulma and Yamcha’s was portrayed in this one. Plus, do away with the whole cards, board game, and video game thing because….well, its just gay. sorry, i can’t think of a better way of putting it. anyway, thats my thoughts.

One of the things I thought was hilariously bad was when he found his charred dead friends, and buried them in his back yard or something with the freaking trading cards. What the? Might want to let their families do the funeral Goku!
But those friends were so annoying I was happy they died! I mean, ‘let’s go to Goku’s and play Dragonball’ ????
Also I thought the Goku and Chi-Chi stuff was terrible. She had no personality, and they didn’t have enough scenes together to make it realistic.
I thought some of the Bulma, Roshi and Yamcha stuff was okay. And the random Krillin appearance. I’m happy to know it’s been heavily re-written!

For starters, they are completely ruining the original story. I didn’t see any mention of Goku’s tail, being found by Bulma when he was a kid. Meeting Master Roshi as a KID and going through all of the trials he went through as a KID… He fought King Piccolo as a KID dammit. Piccolo doesn’t die at the end, who is supposed to train Gohan while Goku’s supposed to be dead now? They’ve screwed up yet another story to make it more marketable.

This script was a peice of Sh**!! The real Goku would live with his granpa far away from any other people. It bothered me that everybody knew the dragonball legend and that it was a media franchise which is what made it Sh**. Goku dosen’t have any romantic interest in girls at that age(or at all) and the dragonball legend being a franchise ruined it. So did the fact that everybody knows the legend and Planet Namek and the demons. The movie was gonna suck dragonballs anyway Bcuz it didnt stay tru to the story lin, but dis is just a disgrace. The real goku wud hav bin beggin Gohan to teech him a new technique. I hope this is fak and if Ramsy rote it den he deserves to die.

That was the bigget peice of SH** i’ve ever seen. The two main problems wer: 1 goku wud nevr act lik dat. He stares at girls, tinks hhis Granpa is hodin him back, he only wants to fit in. I will say I read alittle and for a earlier draft its looking good. I do have to say is wow. I really like want I read. It dose seem like DB but make Goku a teen and not a kid. But I did go to the last page to see any thing about King Vegeta or Vegeta him self and I didn’t but then it was ” a earlier draft” So I can think that the new one might have some thing in it with Vegeta.

I read the whole thing in one sitting, not because I liked it, but because I love the source material. This script CANNOT possibly be what they went into production with. James Wong, considering he’s not the best director (and maybe this is the movie he’s been waiting for. He loves shooting action/suspense and now he can do it with some substance) anyway, James Wong has to of changed this piece of crap. It strays so far from its source that it almost becomes something else entirely.

From what I deduced, Pansy turned krillian into Master Roshi’s servant who watched over the Kame House while he was away.

All of a sudden Bulma is a gunslinging acrobat whos not afraid of anything? Ben Pansy couldn’t be more creative, leave source story alone, and find more clever historys for the characters. Doctor Briefs being dead?!?! Unnecessary.

I can only pray Stephan Chow saw this draft, laughed, and fired Ben Ramsy.

But seriously. To many people will see this and be repelled by it. If you want Dragonball to be a trilogy please “obliterate” all traces of this and lets all forget it ever existed.
