I was in a tournament last year and 1 of my teammates had a blue gi with white pants and he was not allowed to compete because of that it’s just that so many people are saying “necessary changes to make the movie realistic­­­­­­” so I’M just being realistic

When “they” made the first superman movie they didn’t make any changes to he’s suit, because that would be really stupid to make any sudden changes from the comic book, you don’t know how people would react to the movie.

The sad part is anime is way harder to make live then amer.comic books. To make all the “necessary” changes because Justin doesn’t look good in a real full on orange gi and boots in the movie doesn’t make sense at all, maybe they should have gotten someone who looks good in a real orange gi and boots (Asian) to play the part. i like Justin as Goku but not his “Gi”. I heard the Japanese from Japan don’t like the gi because it’s too “American”, and I agree with them. the next thing you know people are going to compare the hammer-man to Goku. people are just happy right now because they waited for so long to see Goku live, but when the movie comes out they….. will…. complain…..
it would have been way better if it were all cgi like final fantasy that would have been sick.nasty,crazy all at the same time.

About Goku`s Gi. I´m agrre with misboywon, for example i would be crazy if I make a superman suit without underpants over pants XD (i think that part of his suit is ridiculous). Goku`s case is the same thing. =/

The cast is good I like it and I dont care about Goku’s gi or Goku looking weak in this picture because remember he is only 18.Is just 3 things I dont like about this movie

1.Goku will be going to school.
2.NO Krillin and Krillin is one of the main characters in DB and he is Goku’s best friend.

3.Some parts of the story has changed.

Good for the villagers, and you probably did that ritual too, right? Look man, if you dont like it then fine, I guess the movie’s ruined for you. I never said the orange pants would suck, it would be better if he had them on, all I’m saying is that it’s not that big a deal. How do we know he doesn’t put the orange ones on at some point in the movie, just because he’s wearing them in the poster doesn’t mean he wears them all through the film, it’s still Goku wearing them, damn, the pants don’t make the man. (as lame as that soounds) By the way, Buddhist monks wore dark red, yellow, grey, black and saffron (which is a golden yellow) robes… its not a big deal, they’re just pants.

I’m happy to see my dream comes true; since I’ve watched the very first episod, back when I was a kid, I said I’d like it in a real movie…I’m so anxious, can’t wait to see it!!! I can’t believing how many “positive” comments i’ve read on this site whenever a new picture is posted. I keep checkin links on the net that say “New pictures from Dragonball” and it always comes to this site… and quite frankly the pictures are CRAP. This looks like Street Fighter all over again. Just for this one, over my first comment, hey, are you blind? Gokmu never had muscle before the end of the sayan saga…Even vs Raditz, he was still little…So here the movie ends vs the Lord Piccolo(the one which made an egg while dying so Piccolo(the one that killed Raditz) could dominate the world.), and Goku was still a child when he passed through Lord’s belly; he was a bit chubby, not a mr univers…
I can even tell which page of which volume it was: p70, volume 14 (French version), might not be exact same in english, but not far.
So he is not so far than a Gokmu-like person…

@misboywon: with all i´ve read and seen so far about this movie, it looks like its going to be awesome, so im not worried on how well its going to do. that could only change if the trailer shows a crappy movie, but thats not going to happen
and about the cgi movie, even if dark and serious, non db fans would not be attracted to a cgi dragonball movie, thats just the way it is. and thats why they didn´t make it that way. and im glad they didn´t.

(lol) That was good misboywon, don’t be hard on yourself though, but ya, we are all fans. “i’m just worried the movie won’t do as well as it should like every one else feels.” I agree with what you said right there and I’m sure most of us feel that way… I know all the negative people bashing the film feel that way and it’s easy for them to jump on that negative bandwagon cause if the movie does turn out bad then they can all say, “see, told you so.” I don’t care, I’m confident in the crew and everyone associated with the movie, and with some of the news Adam posts, it just makes me more confident and adds to the anticipation. With that budget, it’ll be good, even if the movie isn’t that good, at least we got to see something new and in live-action.

dragonball has a great story behind it, street figher is a fighting video game
take a look at the people involved in this dragonball movie, from the actors to the fx crew, you can only expect a very high quality movie from them
my only two big question marks are chatwin and emmy, if they nail the characters of goku and bulma, this movie will be spectacular

to complainers of gokus blue pants, he did have blue pants in DRAGONBALL once!!! Can’t you see theyrr only trying to find a way to be faithful to most of gokus dragonball outfits???!! Combining assets of gokus gi designs is a way of doing that, orange top and blue bottoms!!! To be honest I prefered them this way
about his untucjked pants, goku didn’t have boots in dragonball! He had kunfu slippers n stuff if I’m not mistaken…

I feel like the only one who thinks everything about this movie is awesome, I even think Justin wearing blue pants is pretty cool. I feel so left out. Seriously, none of the pics have been dissapointing.

hey…… i just got it , I just thought it in my head, It’s so clear who should play Vegeta. Ok are you ready!…….. Shin Koyamda……… he can so pull it off, the looks that is. that guy is so Vegeta. you may say he looks too small or too skinny to you ,but when Vegeta met Goku he wasn’t exactly buff. and don’t you think it’s kinda sad that with all the “main” characters in the live action movie there’s not one Japanese person playing a character in the movie. how sad….. :cry. so i think it’s only fare/right!!! to have a Japanese person play Vegeta !!!!!!! and i picked Shin Koyamada to play Vegeta. You many say his English is not so good,but i think it gives it a cool effect,everyone in planet Vegeta speaks broken English that means he won’t have is WWE/Surfer voice(english speaking version of Vegeta by Chris Sabit ). i really/seriously think he can pull it off.
and to play Raditz Tom Welling …………… aw..!! come on guys don’t give me that look .he’s the only guy i can think of right now who looks like Justin’s older brother and is way bigger than him………. funny superman and goku are brothers

i have been waiting for a dragon ball movie for so long. i’m a little disappointed that they’re using the dragon ball series instead of dragon ball z. if it was based on the cell saga that would be so damn cool because when gohan beat cell that was the most awesome thing ever. and then they’d have trunks in it too. and if it is from the dragon ball series then shouldn’t goku have a tail and transform into a giant monkey during a full moon?

Hey guys i hav read the ben ramsey script version of dragonball
it looks promising and good but it talks about lord piccolo all the way through the film and out of a 128 pages he only starts apears in
page 114. thats y i am glad that james wong has rewritten the script
because in the ben ramsey 1 the main villan is emperror pilaf
but in the james wong version the main villan is lord piccolo
