Dragonball at Comic-Con?

According to TheHollywoodNews.com, Fox will be promoting Dragonball later this week at Comic-Con in San Diego.

I’ve got to admit, I know nothing about this movie, except the fact that Fox are taking it to Comic Con later this week, so expect some more promo stuff to pop up online later.

/Film also seems convinced that Fox will be promoting Dragonball there as well.

I’m sure Fox will launch some new marketing materials later this week at Comic Con.

If anyone is attending Comic-Con, feel free to send us anything you may find.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, Dragonball had no presence at the event.

Actually, no. I’m just gonna be REALLY PISSED OFF! For me, this is the biggest news EVER! One of my favorite animes of all time is being turned live-action! And it looks promising! I’ve prayed quite a bit that this’ll be good, and so far, I’m not disappointed. :D

@Novashinron: but it could still be shown in theaters, there have been other movies that have not been rated yet and they are shown.

I have a feeling they’re not gonna show it, which sucks.

They should, since Wolverine comes out after it and they’ve already showed clips and stuff of it already to the press at least.

I hope that if they dont end up releasing a trailer to the public, at least show some clips to the press, and a site like IGN will cover it hopefully.

oh, great, didnt read the update, my bad.

so ya no dragonball at comic-con.

so what is another big event anybody else knows of where the dragonball stuff can be displayed, if there isn’t then i guess we’ll have to wait for a movie in theatres to show it’s trailer about 4 – 5 months before its release.

So they choose to promote a stupid spin-off movie, instead of a new, big budget film with extreme franchise potential? What’s up Fox? At least promote both equally. DB is not getting it’s share of attention.

Hey guys i hav read the ben ramsey script version of dragonball
it looks promising and good but it talks about lord piccolo all the way through the film and out of a 128 pages he only starts apears in
page 114. thats y i am glad that james wong has rewritten the script
because in the ben ramsey 1 the main villan is emperror pilaf
but in the james wong version the main villan is lord piccolo

WTF? They couldn’t have chosen worse matches to play the characters of dragonball. Did they not watch the series at all and pull the people out of a hat? I swear, I’ve watched DB, DBZ, and GT as a child. I’m kind of in shock. I’m suspecting this is going to be like the live action Street Fighter movie. These people have no clue what they’re screwing up.

We are doing a huge Dragonball promotion at Comic-con this year giving away VIP party passes to the Wrath of Con, Comi-con and Dragonball collectibles and DBE DVD’s. We could use your help to get the word out and we’d love it if one of your fans were the winners. We’ll throw in an additional dollars if the winner comes from your group of followers.

All you have to do is follow http://twitter.com/Dragonball2009 over the next couple of days to win. The details are below, along with the press release.

    The Dragonball Evolution Sweepstakes:
The epicenter of the program revolves around a scavenger hunt that Giant Release created for the release of FOX Home Entertainment’s Dragonball Evolution DVD. The scavenger hunt held on July 24th at the 2009 Comic-Con San Diego convention center was the ideal location to reach Dragonball’s fan base. Followers of http://twitter.com/Dragonball2009 receive a tweet every 15 minutes over a three hour timeframe offering a clue to where seven “Dragonballs” were hidden inside the convention center. When each “Dragonball” is found, the winner receives the ultimate Dragonball Evolution DVD prize package which includes exclusive Comic-Con collector items, a Dragonball Evolution DVD and a VIP pass to the Wrath of Con party event at the Hard Rock Hotel. Dragonball Evolution was given the opportunity to showcase the DVD on plasma screens and main stage area throughout Wrath of Con to leading online entertainment and comics editors, celebrities and lucky fans.
