i guess that u r right but this movie is losing hope to all fans and to tell u the truth i was very dissapointed for the huge damn changes they made like not having krillin and goku goes to school and other stuff my point is that it looks like its gona suck i am still gona watch it cuz i am a fan and all but still i hope that the movie is good and the trailer looks cool

and if fox is the one that brought the idea of the damn movie than y do we need to give the trailer and show the movie to japan first i know that they made the cartoon but still wat the hell?

I can almost say for certain it will be shown with babylon ad. Not to mention James Marsters is going to Dragon Con the same day babylon ad comes out as a special guest…there’s no doubt in my mind a trailer will be revealed that day.

this is a torture man,, and knowing its been done for a few months is even more torturing,,, i just hope whenever its released it blows everyone´s mind away, and shuts up all the haters
maybe they are still editing it after music was done, making sure its the best they can do it, if thats the case then i think its great and i could even wait a few more months, because the trailer will probably be the biggest factor to whether this movie does good or not at the box office

I know, and we probably only have a little more than a month to go. I just find it interesting Fox has held it back this long, so long that they’re even showing trailers for movies that don’t come out until after DB comes out. Weird…really weird.

And to people who wont go see the movie if they dont like the trailer – I think every real fan is going to see this movie (or should anyway) because its still Dragonball. And even if they HATE the trailer they might actually like the movie. So dont not go and see it just because you dont like the trailer

although i believe in the dragonball movie i should state 2 points that shown that this movie is gonna fail
1)films with eastern origins aren t very popural now( check the promise,
flying daggers, speed racer)
2)dragonball storyline isn t just like american heroes storyline(x-men,
spiderman, ironman, hulk). Dragonball storyline is more complicated
while american comic heroes features villain of the week.
Think about those to statements.

star wars movies were pg and were awesome, so even if it ends up pg i´ll still have hopes for a great movie

hopefully thats the reason why fox hasn´t started promotion with dragonball in the rest of the world, maybe they have so much faith in it that they think it doesnt need as much promotion as the other movies they already started to promote

Some friend of mine is pissing me off saying this movie could be very bad that is why they aren’t showing any footage. I no longer will talk to him.

@nanjirou: I doubt that lol. Not to be a hater or anything (I obviously haven’t seen the movie), but I noticed movie studios, for movies that are risky (not a proven money-maker franchise movie), or movies that they know will blow at the box office… they tend to keep it underwraps until it’s just about time for the movie to come out.

That way no blogs or anyone can get ahold of what it’s really like, and will only have the strategically marketed trailer to go off of, a month or two before the thing actually comes out. Gets the unknowing asses in the seats at least.

Imagine if some DB footage was show at Comic-Con, almost a year before it actually comes to theaters, and the crowd reaction was very negative. That would be bad business right there for Fox. They’ll probably hold this thing for a while yet.

DB seems like a rushed production, kinda like an afterthought franchise-in-the-making. It only got green lit cause of the writers strike anyway, so I’m not expecting it to be on par with the quality of the American comic book adaptations…. I HOPE it will be, but I have my doubts. I know I should wait for some footage to go off of, but all the facts I’ve heard so far about the production have me worried and not so hopeful…

@Grimmy Grinning Ghost: i used to think this movie was rushed too, but it wasn´t.. chatwin was cast in march, they started shooting in december 2007, and they´ve been writing and re-writing the script for years, shooting took about 3-4 months, which is normal, and it has nearly a year for post production
anyway, i agree with you it would be a bad move to show the trailer now if they aren´t sure its gonna blow everyone´s mind away, but the dragonball fanbase is so huge worldwide that they know they´ll make their money back, i wouldn´t think they are worried about that

i wonder if they are ever gonna have krillin if they make a sequel

Does anyone here ever think? You guys here are all asking for a trailer. Remember, Fox signed a contract that says Japan gets to promote before we do. Meaning…if the trailer has been done for that long, then don’t blame Fox. It’s Japans fault there hasn’t been a trailer, because they obviousilly have it and haven’t released it yet. Trust me, If Fox could show it at Comic-Con, they would. They aren’t allowed to show any footage or american promotion until Japan has released it first. We are waiting on Promoters in Japan, not 20th Century Fox’s fault. Or atleast, not the american ones.
