I was excited about Goku almost turning into Oozaru, that got me real excited when I read that, but the fart scene sounded really cheesy.

Seems accurate. Goku in highschool’s a big problem. and the teen-comedy tone could be even worse. That’s the same kind of thinking that killed street fighter the movie. I don’t think wong’s going to make it THAT bad but there’s little hope of this reaching at least stephen chow’s level of coolness. heh, the trailer will be the deciding factor at the end of the day. A lot of stuff is shot and then cut so all this might not even make it in.

Guys yous should consider that they want to target young audiences… plus they kinda mixed Gohan and Goku’s story, so it does make sense. And if they adapted it was because they thought that otherwise the movie was going to be ‘crappy’. Try to imagine how a movie would look like if they made it 100% like the anime or the manga????

You can’t combine goku and gohan’s story. Goku’s supposed to be like tarzan meets superman. This sounds like they’re aping superman the movie and smallville. Possibly spiderman. A bunch of idiots in suits who’ve never read a comic or watched a cartoon in their lives trying to stick to a formula for success. It’s not about fucking formulas. IT’S ABOUT DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE. Don’t worry. I’ll make the real dragonball movie when I get rich.

Ok yeah. That sounds kinda dumb, I will admit. However, since i’ve been doing nothing but hoping for the best with this film thus far, I’m going to keep hoping. I guess since Goku’s a teen, and in high school, and this is supposed to take place in a modern setting, that you may actually have little jokes like that every now and then. Look at Transformers, that movie had so many of those little jokes that would just pop up every two minutes, they probably looked dumb on paper too, but when put in the movie and performed in the atmosphere, they actually worked and fit the general dialectic tone of the movie. And in the end, what made that movie so good in my opinion was that it had a superb balance of comedy, action, and drama (same as Iron Man), so maybe this isn’t the end of the world.

I hope this news is fake(although i dont think so)or else this is giving us a hint on how the rest of the movie was dealt with and i don’t like it.how they are screwing up gokus character(Dude my bike) is really anoying me. Litle hope left though

This would be a really disappointing scene of the beginning if it were real. I hope they take it out if it is. Just imagine buying the Dragonball Special Addition DVD and looking through the deleted scenes and coming across this one. I would be like “What?!”

Oh yeah, first few days of shooting, whole movie could have changed gears over the course of a couple months. theres chance this whole sequence could be cut. that said:
