This movie looks like its going to be terrible i am boycotting until i see major changes to everything i’ve seen so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!

well for the reviews i have seen i would say this move is going to be wack as hell and i would pay a fuckin penny to see this movie.

reasons well the matial is stupid and the character doesnt fit the discription of the characters in the manga anime series im not saying that they are suppose to look exactly like the characters off of the manga series. i mean for one your goku is way off, homie looks like he could hit the weight room and get some muscles, iv seen stick figures buffer than him. next piccolo what the hell was yall thinking, he aint green i dont no what type of color that is i havent been able to find that color in my crayola yet, and were the fuck is his antennas and what is with that dome homies looks like a freakin caveman. and another character would be master roshi actully he is one of my favorite characters in the manga series, were is the beard have yall not seen dragonball z master roshi is bald and the person you have playing his is off way off but so far i have no real complains about master roshi. i like chichi you guys did good on her i think this is the only character i am satified with. last but not least bulma needs to be switched.

I was affraid of this and it is all coming true. It’s gonna suck big time. I can’t relate to these characters. My favorites were Gohan and Piccolo. (From the good side that is.)They don’t look like the anime at all. Not even close. Not even the clothes look the same. So it doesn’t give that familiar feeling. Maybe they should have worked together with Dreamworks or something like that and made it a 3D anime movie. Because this sucks. If I were them I’d call it off right now. It will only cost more.

Well frankly I want to get this off my chest, as I’ve been bottling this up for to long now.
For starters, I’m a true DB and DB Z fan who has watched every episode that has ever come onto screen since he was a toddler, which was 15 years ago, has collected all the series of DVD and music CD’s for each Saga; even has action figures of Goku, Vegeta and Gohan, etc. I was simply insulted by the very idea that they where considering making this movie. The fact that they have started, I am simply outraged. DB/DBZ should NOT HAVE been turned into a Live-Action Movie. Any true fan would understand what I mean by that.

The fact that they made Piccolo look like a vampire in a dress hasn’t pleased me, he IS meant to be green and the Director has failed to see that; also, he wears weighted clothing. That’s how he trains, also with meditation. Next, they have obviously got confused with the timelines. If people remember, Lord Piccolo was PURE evil WHEN GOKU was around 12 YRs to 17 YRs OLD. Goku doesn’t look young in the picture, in fact Justin Chatwin is in fact 26. So taking into assumptions that’s how old the Director was picturing Goku as; which means, technically that Piccolo hadn’t been ‘pure’ evil for around 4/5 years. [Note: don't get mistaken with Piccolo Daimo and Piccolo Jr.] He was evil as such at the time, but he makes a bargain with Goku to stop Raditz.

I mean for god sakes, Goku, Krillin AND piccolo fight Garlic Jr. and send him to the Dead Zone. Unity people.

Also, Goku should have been Asian – stupid Fu*cking Hollywood . They obviously wanted an American as the Hero. GOD FORBID HAVING AN ASIAN AS THE HERO ON AN AMERICAN FILM .

Also, Vegeta isn’t in the movie. Sorry, but I have to draw the line here – he is by far the coolest character in DBZ.

Finally, they have left out SO MANY important elements of the DB/DBZ – like energy balls? Flying, etc. Super fast speed fights, and I mean lightening speed! That’s what made Dragonball, i remember wanting to watch it when I was a kid just to see the fights, how amazing they were and how I wanted to be able to fight just like them.

If any TRUE dragonball Fan reads this, then you will understand exactly what I mean; and I’m not talking about a fan who has watched it in the last few years, I mean someone who has know and loved it since they can remember, far back since they where toddlers when DB first came out.
I agree with watching a movie before given a decision on whether its good or bad;
but sometimes, and in this moment in time, I’m giving it a thumbs down all the way; not on the basis
that they left out most of the elements (who knows it could be a good film after all). But the fact that they should never of turned this into a movie. Simply on the basis that it’s a childhood memory for me and many other fans (yeah I occasionally watch them now), and that’s why I loved and love it.

Sorry, folks, but this movie looks stupid. I’m a huge fan and was excited to hear about the possibility, but this just looks dumb. If they were going to do this classic anime show justice, they should have made the movie in the style of X-men or something. Stay true to the characters! This isn’t a book to movie transfer, where we’ve all been left to picture the characters in our heads. Piccolo is green, Master Roshi is bald with a beard, and Goku doesn’t look like a sissy. I’m sure I’ll watch the movie… like I said, I’m a huge fan… but I’ll wait for the DVD.

Goku is white, Master Roshi has hair and is played by Chow Yun Fat??? Piccolo looks nothing like a Namek..more like something from an Star Trek movie…

I think about goku when he was a kid in dragon ball he for number 1 was a kid not a almost grown man piccolo looks horrible we cant stress this enough he is supposed to be green with antennas the outfits look crapie its just heart breaking .. and another thing when x men made wolverine he did not have on a yellow suit nobody body had on colorful outfits and everybody in the movie looked great i love dragon ball z but goku outfit was ugly in the cartoon and its ugly in real life you have to know stay true to the story and when to add a touch of real this looks like it dosen’t know how to do that so it will fail

in the cartoon none of the characters really look like they have a defining race…i wouldnt look at the cartoon and look at goku and say…he looks asian..they look white more than asian..look at chi chi in the anime..even her name says Chinese all over it but she doesnt look chinese..chinese usually have really small lines for eyes.

stop whining about goku being white he looks fine…and as for master roshi…chow yun fat was the first person i would have considered for it as he is basically a martial arts master type person.

Seriously… why are there only a few voices of decent? Everyone is sooo happy with the way the movie is coming along…. why!? Goku is an alien who was trained at a very young age to fight, he met Krillian at that time and they are pretty much joined at the hip from then on. Earth’s Dragonballs were created by Kami not 7 mystics… the only race capable of creating Dragonballs as far as I know are Nameks not humans. I don’t think Goku ever went to school and since day one Master Roshi was an old perverted hermit not some middle aged harper.. Part of Goku’s charm is his never quit rush in and fight mentallity.. he’s a Saiyan, they fight, they live to fight. It is through fighting that they become stronger…. they are ALWAYS READY FOR THIS (^_^). I don’t think I need to point out Piccolo… I think enough people have mentioned that. No offense, but they took the names, some ideas, called it Dragonball while removing the essence of Dragonball. At their apparent ages this need be DragonballZ.. but even if they did that, it’s NOT Dragonball… it’s some mutated hybrid of SOME (very little) Dragonball content and a lot of Hollywood screwup… and all that from the trailer…. why? Why are people so happy??????

Why does Piccolo look like one of those Saibamen? Saw a pic of Yamcha…. huh!? This is shapping up to be an escuse to show off some special effects and ruin a lot of peoples expectations. Seriously… rename the movie, remove the little, and I do mean little, content that actually reflectes the Dragonball universe, and there might be a reason to watch. I’m not above eye candy, but I’m also a fan of the series and as such, I’m really REALLY disappointed with the direction this has gone.

hey guys its time for some real martial arts action with a crazy twist looks alright for now but theres a lot to be tweeked i really hope and prey for all the db fans to c some origionality in the arts i feel the need for a sequeel inviloving vageta and nappa and for the rest of dbz and hopefully more movies into the freeza (super sayin) and beyond ie.ss4 and dbgt area ive been waiting for this movie more than even spider man do a good job or els. lol

BUT……

Seriously…. its obviously way too late, the HAIR is what made dragon ball. All I see on “Goku” is a cowlick. Take a look at some goth club pictures or at minimum japanesse fashion. Put some effort. I’ve read people crying that the attitude doesn’t match and things of that nature, but the HAIR needs to be on par!

This will definitely be a box office hit. I’m 25 and still love my cartoons, specificly this one. I’m no die hard junkie about keeping things original and what not, but how are you going to continue a big screen series if almost every single charactor has giant spikes for hair and the movie doesn’t follow atleast on that.

Anyways, Piccalo looks sweet. Supurb job on that. I really hope that there are more of these to come. I can not wait to see Freeza and my favorite…Trunks!!!

Maybe give CGI a shot for a series. Something along the lines of both the Appleseed’s or Final Fantasy : Advent Children. Just some food for thought. Can’t wait though!

Having read Hyperion’s comment. Actually really on point. Considering that this is made through 20th Century Fox which I belive Xmen is as well. I think some collabiration is in order. In one of the makings of Xmen the creators said they denied many offers to turn their greatness into a movie due to the fact that it would be imposible and look like a joke which I believe as well they tried and recieve that outcome. There are many things that are not on par with the original series, which matters to a lot, but maybe not the masses. DB, DBZ and DB GT have a very big following and I know this for a fact. If strayed to far from its originality is will be murder to the series. Unlike Transformers when people were crying of it straying from originality(i.e. not looking like walking boxes)… As I said, personally I’d like to see the hair. Roshi is a pervert from the first appearance in the cartoon. Goku is a Saiyan, a race born to fight and demolish everything… not “I’m not ready…I’m scared.” So what it hes not happy go-lucky. Speak with the fellas from Xmen. I recall in “The making of” they had many issues with originality.

this is the one movie ive been waiting for. Im glad they waited on the technology to advance. this is gonna be the best movie of our time. and i wouldn’t be suprised if they made two or three sequels.I want everyone to say it with me,” HELLZ YEAH”.

Im waiting for this movie but im not expecting much from it Dragonball and Dragonball Z are just best as they were cartoons…and not acted because lets face it piccolo may look pretty evil and stuff but he doesnt look a thing like the piccolo we all know. And master roshi looks kinda lame sorry but thats my opinion.
