    @RJ:

    maplestory ftw.

    I like the music in maplestory..

    .. maybe they should have went to the korean developers of Dragonball Online and got some tracks from their game and tried to model the movie soundtrack around that. Toriyama is the supervisor for that entire fuckin’ game… it’s going to be amazing.

    So remember kids no matter how much DB the movie might disappoint you we all will still have DBO!! the TRUE successor to Dragonball

    @SSJ Jon: Then he kind of ruined the illusion of knowing what he’s talking about by saying the anime is a mix of Transformers and Harry Potter.

    @J:
    He was saying that dragonball has giant robots and futureistic themes(transformers) but also magic and mystical power are in it to ( like harry potter).
    Dragonball defianatly had lots of magic stuff in it. Master roshie had an imortal bird…that died, flying nimbus, talking animals, bubba, monsters. On the sci fi side well how many aliens are there in dragonball? just like transformers with lots of mech, flying cars, andriod 8. I wonder if the military force in the movie will be called the red ribbon army. Perhaps it was they who unleashed piccolo in the movie looking for some sought of new power for the army. Perhaps that could be a way of tying a Cell saga movie into the movie sereies.

    When he says “a combination of Transformers and Harry Potter,” don’t take him so literally. In terms of presentation it’s completely original, but in themes it’s not only a combination of fantasy and science fiction, but it’s also ongoing and addictive, with classical sense of good and evil.

    I’ll be interested in hearing Brian’s musical take on the Dragon Ball story… I wouldn’t half mind hearing a few remixes of Shunsuke Kikuchi scores as well, mainly the King Piccolo themes. Though that’s probably unlikely.

    @Jadix: Currently there are no official plans for any release of DB Online outside of Korea. However, I’m sure it will one day be released in the U.S. as they’d be very stupid to pass up the profits made from selling it worldwide. (If you check wikipedia it says 2010 but I doubt that’s official).

    @Jadix: I meant to say there are no plans of a DB Online release outside of Korea and Japan.

    Anyway, about the movie. I wonder if there will be some lame pop/hip-hop songs. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was, especially during the high school/Chi-Chi’s party scenes.

    I hate Transformers (the cartoon) and I hate Harry Potter but I’m obsessed with Dragon Ball Z. I don’t see the connection. Everything this guy said shows how clueless he is. Will the ever be a strand of good news for this movie?

    @SSJ4Pikachu: Who are the Jonas Brothers? Tween boppers like Hanson way back? Sounds like the type of group who’s music would get in this movie.
