@amit DBZ creator Akira Toriyama was hired as the films consultant but he wanted too much control over the film so FOX made him sign a new contract. That’s why he’s pissed.

Now imagine if Toriyama came up with some cool moves, maybe the film might have turned out a little different than it is now.

On the ” Hater ” situation: I don’t think people are hating on the film. They just want their 10 bucks worth. Remember we the fans are the reason why they are making a DB film after so many years since it’s been aired ( remember all the talk of the idea being canned ). We come to this site because most if not all used to wonder how it would look live-action. With The Matrix, Lord of The Rings, The Dark Knight, etc, etc. We all have an idea what this movie could be so the scale is set high. Besides, watch the original Dragon Ball live-action movie. We just don’t want an American big-budget version of that. If people are hating than as T.I. would say ” Hate on, Pimpin’ “. Look at Iron man, so many people loved it yet they thought it was going to be trash. We’re all entitled to our opinion and if the “haters” are wrong, the ” true fans ” can always come back here and call them bandwagon bitches and force them to watch Kung Fu Hustle.

Second, omg man, you haven’t seen the movie, HOW can you say it has 10% of the story? and again man, it’s not going to be 100% as the anime, at least for the story, as has happen with many other movies such as, spider man, iron man, hulk, and many others, they aren’t always exaclty the same but it still didn’t suck, at least for the most cases, so wait to see how it is before judge.

Nobody is asking 100% that´s impossible. but Wong just couldn´t found the equilibrium, or he got no balls to translate a magic world to the big screen.

Hulk was green, Peter Parker always started as an student, iron man is very faithful.

Goku never went to school, Piccolo is as green as that people never doubt about his color.

And about the asian theme, i said it´s a closed theme, but it´s just curiosity that almost all actor are asian.

Since the topic of Goku’s “race” seems to keep coming up, I developed a new theory of which would explain some things. From this point on I’m viewing Saiyans as not necessarily a race, in terms of skin color, ethinicity, etc, but as in a species. Think about it like this. We’re all humans. But we have humans that are different colors. Blacks, whites, asians, etc. I think it’s the same way with Saiyans. They have black saiyans, white saiyans, asian saiyans, etc. I mean just look at the Bardock movie. I think Goku would be an example of a white saiyan, thus he looks white. And until someone can give me good reasons that he is Asian, other than the same old “he was created by an Asian person so he’s Asian” bullcrap, I’m sticking with that. And others should feel free to adapt my theory as long as I get credit.

I noticed some mention of whether or not Flying Nimbus would cool in live action. I think it would look fantastic as long as it was made properly. Don’t picture Justin Chatwin standing on a puffy yellow cloud, picture a yellowish mist encircling his feet and propelling him into the air, with a tornado like trail at the end of it. I think that’d look pretty sweet.

Lets just face the facts, this movie is coming, my guts are telling me its gonna be major suckage, Fox is gonna have spent 100 mil on a movie that maybe will gross 30 mil before some knock off teen comedy starring that kid from Juno comes out the next week and doubles what this will make. Most people except for DB fans will have forgotten this might be total trash movie soon as its outta threatres and a short time after the eventual DVD release. In the end we all have to face that the truth is DB just can not be made into a truly entertaining live action movie for one simple reason: The fantasy and action of it just doesnt translate well into live action. Point: The characters on the show just look totally buff and bad ass, even when he was a teen Goku had the buffness going. Point: they pulled off insane moves that would require the most elaborate fight coreagraphy in the world and CG to really make it look as awesome as the anime. So just stop hating, take a deep breathe, admit as much as you dont like it that yelling and whinning will not save the world from the coming of this movie and smile to yourself knowing that if it fail big time most people who arent DB fans will forget about it very quickly. As for me I’ve been a fan of DB since it first aired in america in wee hours of morning on same random channel before Cnetwork and I am not gonna hate on this movie, just say this: it wont be good but its not going to ruin your good memories of DB and DBZ, if anything a true fan would laugh it off and just say “OMG you remember that time they made a live action DB movie haha” So dont hate just suck it up and laugh if it fails

I’m hoping for an ingenious move in the movie, like the double kamehameha where goku teleports and sandwiches the opponent with two hamehas.

Something cool and unexpected would be awesome for the fans and viewers.. you guys remember goku creating a hameha with his feet in Dragonball?

They messed this movie up like they messed up Speed Racer!

I didn’t watch Speed racer because they messed it up and i will not a Messed up BD movie, it would spoil it for me! I guess i will stick with the Anima! I can’t stand them for making this movie so badly, DAM!

Wait, what happened to you guys going all crazy and saying how cool the trailer was. Now, most of you are saying it wasn’t that great and that the real one should be awesome?!? This is why half of the positive gushing is so slanted to one side it’s pathetic. Some of you wouldn’t admit that it looked kinda shotty if your life depended on it. How sad.

I will still go see max payne, but this is a real disappointment. Something isnt right. There a plenty of movies that have teasers way before they come out. I can find tons of info and screen shots on the new Harry potter movie, why not this one? I would be surprised that it is being reworked again. And what about the poll? if everyone loved it why does the poll say otherwise.

I showed the trailer to non DB fans and frankly the reaction wasn’t that great. Most people thought it was a kids movie or the trailer really didnt show anything beside random images. I suggest you guys show the trailer to non anime/non DB fans and then check the reaction you get. Those are the people that fox wants to get to see the movie. Those people are the majority, not the fans.
