ok this is gonna be the worst movie in the world for one they didnt follow the story line of dragon ball goku was a kid he doesnt go to high school he isnt even white people that really know about db dbz gt and af are gonna be pissed no one will watch this movie and king piccolo or whatever he wasnt pale like that he was actually green i hate this movie already they should have picked some asians for the movie cause even though goku and the gang werent human they looked like asians this is horrible madnesss. whoever the director is clearly has never see or even heard of dbz. he killed dbz fans all over the world….and where the hell is his tail???!!!! and why is his hair brown….he looks like a valley boy

OK, first-off. Goku has to lose his tail, otherwise he turns into the giant ape. Get over it, he will prolly have one in a flashback. Second: yeah, I’m kind of pissed that Goku is both working and going to High School, but hey, they have to commercialize the movie. It’s probably in the contract somewhere. Third, as long as there’s an age difference between Bulma and Goku (she was sixteen and he was like 10 when they met) I’m okay. Notice both Bulma and Chi-Chi get to keep their names despite their literal meanings. Krillin might get an Americanized name (I’ve heard somewhere that he will be in, there’s just no pics yet. I am VERY pissed that Piccolo is not Green, but whatever, we’ll see what happens. Face it, this is towards the end of the original series. Notice that there is no mentioning whatsoever of Pilaf and the rest of the Red Ribbon Army. I would love to see more Capsule corps stuff, but again, we have to wait. The bikes will have to do for now. I dunno, maybe Bulma will dye her hair, and Goku will have a hair gel malfunction that causes his hair to look the way it does in the show. It’s similar now, but we never know. Personally I’d like to see what the World Tournament (WE ALL KNOW ITS GONNA END THERE) will look like, as well as the Ka-Me-Ha-Me-HAAAA!!!!!! looks like. One final note. I FREAKING LOVE THE WAY THE DRAGONBALLS LOOK.

bulmas perfect cept for the hair color your right about goku plus in dragonball anime he’s only 12 and needs the tail picolo needs green skin but they have the right idea for the look of him but for roshi absolutly every thing is wrong he’s supossed to be over 100 years old it cant be pulled off by chow yun-fat mabye the personality but thats about it don’t get me wrong he is a great actor but it can’t be pulled off by him but ill still watch it because it was one of my favorite shows growing up though now i wont expect it to be similar to the show i hope they at least use the nyoi-bo or as the people who need to study dragonball more call it the power pole and the kinto’un (the flying nimbus cloud)which only those pure of heart can rideim only stating from the pics i see here mabye it will be a decent movie to watch until someone makes it right

Georgia are u stupid or something?…, you find me the dragonball which says its characters are from japan or china or any other asian country? there aliens therefore asian characters are not based in dragonball, i would think they were simply drawn that way as the artist was asian

dragon ball fans are obviously gonna look for pics if they hear theres a movie being made. tho they should have named the movie somthing else or they could have said they are making a dragonball movie with a new story which fits with the series like an ova. from what iv heard and seen so far the only thing they seem to be doing is ruining the dragonball name. they dont seem to be staying true to the original dragonball series….. itll be interesting to see how people who havnt seen the series befor will react to this movie.. il compliment on goku’s hair, dont realy see how they could possible make it any better and their version of piccolo is also pretty impressive, i think the colour for green they used is good enough, do hope he has his usual elf ears.. hmm the guy playing goku definatly needs to study goku’s facial caracteristics and manerisms(however thats spelt)…. haha love the way they actually depict goku’s terrible eating habbits and i hope they make sure people notice his messed up appetite. hey i did have one question for people here since most people seem to be DB fans.. what is dragonball af?? iv seen db, dbz and dbgt but havnt seen or read db af?? is that a near future project or just a fan rumore???

You complain about people not wanting to watch the movie. But they did, but after they butcher the characters nobodys, that’s why they complain. We want to see it and want to see how they adapt the charcaters but if they suck people are gonna complain. I honestly hated DBZ, but this is just wrong!

I have been watching DBZ in Asia ever since I was 5, and loved it ever since. My favorite childhood cartoon series of all time.

But seriously, this live movie is gonna be ****. What are they thinking? Casting a white kid playing Goku? Justin Chatwin looks like a creepy idiotic man-child. Bulma looks like a coccaine addict right out from rehab. I love Chow Yun Fat, but he’s playing Master Roshi? What the **** are they thinking??

R u guys kidding me there is no way a live action dragonball movie could ever be successful in the US. the genration that grew up with this series (me) r grown up and would never put up with this half assed attempt to recreate one of my favorite shows.

I’ve been a fan of DB,DBZ,DBGT all my life and this movie is complete bullshit Pre-Green Piccolo when has there ever been that shit I’ll tell you when never thats when.This Justin Chatwin cant be Goku he looks like a soft ass punk Goku was a hero never acted like one until the right time what our these rich bastards doing to my beloved DB franchise I’ll go see it because I want to see if they at least stick to the story line of the show and dont go adding some stupid ass characters in the process

Ya know whats funny, you have all these people complaining about the difference between the manga/anime and this movie. Have any of them ever watched Dragonball GT. That show was a complete disaster compared to the originals that were actually written by Akira Toriyama. I understand concerns that hollywood may mess-up this classic, but you are taking a series that was 153 episodes (thats 76 1/2 Hours) into a 2 hour movie, max. There will have to changes, not only to get the Dragonball feel/experiance but also to cram in as much of the story as possiable. They will have to jump from major story-arch to major story arch. And many of these changes may not be so bad. Everyone is complaining because Goku is in high school. Come on. How many of you sat in history class and dreamed about Kamehameha-ing the sh%t out of somebody who was pissin’ you off. I did. I think it will be interesting to see that kind of realism brought to it, and hey, it also gives it its own unique feel and maybe will hold a couple of surprises for the long time fan. Has anyone every read any of Marvels Ultimate comic lines? Many of these classic heroes have origins that are very differnt from those released in the 50’s and 60’s, but the creators cared enough about their work that they updated, and yes, changed them without losing the underlying true character. Not to mention that they understand that those that grew-up on the show are mostly well into there twenties, and are trying to make it a picture that they will enjoy as well as keeping it at least early teen friendly. I know, I know, I hate age demographics too. Plus, Akira Toriyama was said to be a major consultant on this picture. I could be wrong but I doubt it, just look at the work and care he is pumping into the Dragonball MMO. Either way, I understand everyones complaints but it is a movie, that a lot of people (many of them fans) are putting a lot of time and effort to create it. Give ‘im some slack, wait and see.

Regarding Master Roshi, I am thoroughly confused as to why they did not opt to use the same look that Chow Yun Fatt did in Pirates of the Carribean 3.

This is ridiculous. If they do not have the budget, then might as well not even try. Michael Bay had the budget, and it worked spectacularly for a childish series that is Transformers. Since Dragon Ball is a classic, might as well make the best of it. However, low budget can also turn into something spectacular, but it’s a rare talent.

In ten years time when the movie gets a Reboot, only then will we look back at past mistakes and set things right.

Honestly though, Stephen Chow should have directed this movie. He’s a big fan of Dragon Ball and grew up with it. He can make good use of modest budgets. Look at his previous movies; they were ALL low budget movies. Yet they were spectacular.

Lets hope this does not turn into the trash that was The Forbidden Kingdom.

This is going to be horrid.

I’ve been waiting so long for this movie, and Fox has gone and crushed my dream into little tiny bite sized pieces.

It’s deviated so much from the original story that it’s not even Dragonball any more. I was okay with Goku being a high school student. I was okay with Bulma not having blue hair.

But Piccolo’s not even green, and that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Part of me hopes this movie bombs.

There is no way that i will watch this movie. I absolutely love the DbZ series. I too have been waiting for this movie and it is sad that they could not follow the oringal story. First of all Kami made the dragonballs. Kami came after Demon king Piccolo split into two intities. The second intity was Piccolo. If i am remembering right. So where do they get the story for this film??? Second they could have atleast made roshi bald and white gotee even for chow yun fat. I can understand not having the blue hair for bulma. But Goku and the saiyan race are known for their not growing and having solid black hair. Not sandy blonde. I know this was supposed to take place in the teen years of Goku’s lifespan but he loved to fight. and in the movie trailor he says he’s not ready for this. And it shows roshi training him. Not accurate at all. I could go on and on. but this is a waste. The only hope i have for the movie is that the graphics and fight seens do the original dbz episodes justice.
