Pre-green Piccolo
We were sent a new photo today, which we’re told is of Piccolo (James Marsters) in a pre-green state. Supposedly he evolves throughout the movie, and at one point becomes greener. It looks like his wardrobe also evolves.

ARE YOU GUYS REALLY “HAPPY” WITH THIS? Goku looks like a 30 year old, the costume does not fit the anime, his hair is not like goku’s he looks NOTHING like him! they should have stuck with an asian….
Chi chi-she has a fringe in the anime, she has an oriental outfit on most of the time and most of her hair is tied up.

Ok, 1st off, Piccolo should be wearing a white turban and white cape, i do like that cloak though, 2nd off piccolo is a Namek, an alien that looks nothing like that, 3rd off hes green… very green, 4th off he has 2 antennas on his head. Its like they are taking DragonBall and taking a huge dump on it, flushing it down the toilet, then blowing it up with a nuke, farting on the remains, and calling whats left a movie. Dragon Ball could be an incredible movie, it probly would go far,maybe even to Dragon Ball Z, but from what i’ve seen so far, it looks like it will piss alot of ppl off, and make the show seem like dirt.

Okay, Picclo is a plant person. Plants can’t photosynthasize without the sun. If you’ve ever picked up a lawn you have seen the whitish grass underneath it. Plants turn white without the sun. Assuming that not much sunlight could get through the rice cooker it makes sense that he’d be whitish when he escaped. He’d naturaly turn greener as he got more sun.
If any of you really saw Dragon Ball, you know that’ isn’t Piccolo, 1 The outfit is horrible, the real one it’s nothing like that. 2 Piccolo always was green, he didn’t envolve his color throughout the anime. Piccolo has antennas -.-’

I just threw up from seeing these pics. If you are still excited to see this movie after seeing all of this crap, then I feel sorry for you.

piccolo is not a human, he’s an alien from namek! meaning he’s always been green, this whole evolution thing is a really crappy idea
and another thing, bulma’s hair is green, not brown! this is not a live-action realization of DBZ, it’s just some crappy hollywood remake
trust me when I say this movie’s gonna suck
they’ve deviated so much from the series that it may as well be its own movie altogether and not be tied to DBZ

This movie is nothing like the manga or the anime. They’ve not kept to the source matiral. Plus Goku should NOT be a WHITE GUY! He should be ASIAN! It’s like making superman asian. The color green is not like this. And Piccolo’s get up is tight in the cartoon, this one looks like hes european or something.
who cares theres always gonna be changes in a movie based on a anime cartoon live with it why should you care the only thing i am angry about in the movie is great ape goku they could of put the person who dressed up as king kong so anyway..who cares about how king piccolo looks like. they try so give them a little credit for making a movie based on db. and shut up.

What makes me upset is his whole race is green, there’s no “pre-green” I think that this movie could be another one of those “Director’s interpretations” meaning it’s made how they think it should have been made but not so much as how it’s actually supposed to be.

they didn’t just make little changes here and there, they completely scrapped the source material, and yes king piccolo does make a huge difference because, for one, piccolo is green, he comes from a race of GREEN people with ANTENNAES, I don’t know why your head is so thick that you can’t understand why the live-action version deviates completely from the manga/anime, it does make a huge difference, this isn’t just another live-action movie adaption of an anime with minor changes
it’s insulting to the source material (which I’m not even sure they studied) it’s a disapointment to the fans and you sir obviously do not know anything about dragonball
I can’t give these people any credit because they could have easily made it like the show, the way it’s meant to be, I mean my point is it’s not like dragonball at all and too much is different to consider it so, not even the trailer, it looked like just another kung fu flick, totally didn’t have the vibe of the show or anything, it wouldn’t be hard for them to make it just like the show, they put much more effort even into making it UNlike the show
I don’t get where you’re coming from or what you smoke pj, this movie’s gonna suck, hopefully in 10 year’s time someone will make up for it and do the same for spiderman as well

I totally agree with Mathew and dbzfan. This movie sucks! Maybe it will have the best visual effects, maybe Piccolo looks cool…but who cares about that?! Piccolo has to be green always! Goku goes to school from what i’ve heard…jajajaja…c’mon. They added too many cliches from hollywood…
They never come right out and say that namecks are plant people…. BUT they DO live on a world with THREE suns.. and dont really need to eat solid food un less they have to.. Dende gives Gohan, Krillin and Bulma a break down of this at one point where they first meet.
So im assuming they are some kind of instect or bug or, mollusk aliens that have the ablitiy to photo synthaize food.. if they choos to.. or like our friend Piccolo does, eat solid food on occasion.
That being said..
i agreed with most of the other people here that have said this.. you stick a plant or a thing that has cloraphyill in it in the dark and guess what.. they turn yellow…
Being as how our buddy here was stuck in a prayer urn for 2000 years.. he didnt have a chance to do either.. eat or photosyntasize in which case.. poor dude’s gonna be yellow.
He gets greener as time goes on.. look at some of the other picks.
