Im sorry but this movie looks like shit to me! DBZ is my favorite show of all time, but this movie doesn’t have anything in common with it except martial arts and character names. Piccolo is the only one that remotely looks like he did in the show. The script looks to be the worst part of the movie. Common, since when does Goku say he’s not ready for a fight. Apparently he goes to school now. This just seems like a quick cash in on the db universe to me. It seems well executed in terms of effects, but shitty in every other way.

After being utterly disappointed since the very beginning Im glad to say I actually enjoyed that. Wasnt sure I beileved myself at first but I actually enjoyed it.

I’m still trying to understand the 3/13 thing in the Japanese trailer, does that mean that the movie will be in theaters March 13th in Japan? If so, I wonder why the site hasn’t updated about that release date.

im probably the biggest db fan ever……ever….and i think this movie is gonna be great..(i think)..for a japaneze dub movie sure..why not…but this shouldnt be called dragonball..the only thing i see from dragonball are names words (kamehameha) and some colors (goku’s clothes “piccolo”s clothes) and a few things (dragonball etc) otherwise this is just an overated japanese movie with english people….doesnt bulma have blue hair? i suppose those little streaks are supposed to make up for it?? how sad..i wonder how batman would look in a yellow costume..cuz thats the same thing…and isnt goku supposed to be a child? and hes in high school? goku educated? hes being picked on? doesnt that sound like a wanna be spiderman? i mean shit people that green guy is all cool and evil and mysterious but thats not piccolo? all dragon ball z fans arent excited because the company thats making the movie is taking their favorite show and basically raping it up the ass. turning it into a movie that shouldnt even come out in theaters, it should go straight to fucking dvd. I mean the charachter designs look terrible, picollo looks like a power ranger villian, it looks like some one rubbed skeet in justin Chatwins hair, and i guess they said fuck it with Master Roshis costume, gave chow yun fat a hawian shirt and called it a day, not to mention bulma, mai, or tien theyre all together terrible. the charachter designs are what make DB. not to mention the fucking shit worthy plot for the movie, put all of these things togethrer you get a terrible movie that no one will remember and a bunch of pissed off DB fans

ok any real DB fan would know this will be horrible simply because Goku acts nothing like what there are depicting in this film. Goku is a fun, carefree, spontaneous character that is not scared to fight….EVER. they made Goku out to be a wuss. and umm ya errr what was up with the fighting? what happened to the speed? they seemed so slow. the whole basis of Dragonball-dragonballz hell all of them is that there are some stronger than others. this is going to be an embarrassment to the dragonball series and WILL not do it justice!!!

Wow I didn’t know so many people have seen the movie all ready Seriously, this film will be its own thing that has been based off of DragonBall, kind of like how there are so many different versions of comic book characters like Spider-man and Batman. Now I am not saying this movie is 100% perfect, but from the research I have gathered this will be good adaptation. I am sure that Goku will act like his goofy self at some point, but usually when he is faced with a very great foe like Cell he sometimes does act quite serious. Also in this film Goku just realizes that his only family had been killed so I would not expect him to be enthusiastic. I know Roshi is not bald and an openly perverted old man and Bulma’s hair isn’t completely blue, but is that really all their characters were? I think they are adding a bit of depth to their character to make them more less one dimensional. Like I said before this movie will be its own retelling of DragonBall. I mean personally I am surprised they included stuff like ki blasts and am exploding city , but I knew they would get rid of some of the more ” goofy” stuff like pervy roshi and talking animals. Also to the so called “true fan” who are freaking out …..CALM DOWN. I mean …” this looks like power rangers!” ” piccolo should be wearing a turban” …” oh noes Goku is nerd/emo in highschool who afraid to fight” …. stupid stupid stupid stupid…I mean I respect your opinion if you do not like this movie but if you pulled stupid stuff out like that then I have to call you out.

The more I consider it, the more I’m convinced that the DB: Evolution name is actually pretty ingenious. Now before you all proceed to slice me open and play with my entrails, hear me out. You see, it’s pretty clear that this is a loose adaptation. That isn’t to say that it doesn’t hit on some of the important points established in the manga, but it’s also completely crystal-clear that they had to alter things to make it work on the big-screen. So to my mind, DB: Evolution isn’t just a title, but a sort of a mission statement, for lack of a better analogy. It shows us that this is a re-imagining of DB. An evolution of Toriyama’s world, so to speak. I think they actually saved their asses from the fire by adding that subtitle to the name, actually. Anyone who goes into this film thinking that it’s going to be a by-the-letter adaptation of DB is

Fuck. Justin sounds like he’s monotone and not animated at all. “We go together” or “Cool.” You can actually hear the full kamehameha sound. They just only show the “kame…” and “…ha” parts. He sounds like “kaMEH…haMEH…HAA!!!!!!!!!” This kid has NO charisma or charm.

The problem is the kame and hameh sound like the same fifth chord played twice. Monotone and uninspired….he doesn’t sound like he’s building up to anything…no orgasmic release of energy. Just.
