Piccolo looks umm like on a scale of 1-10 id give him like a 6, they coulda done better with the wardrobe BUT i still think the movie is gonna be awsome!!

@Voice of reason?: I respect your comments towards me and take that rapper thing back, it was not really my intentions to imply the piccolo role should be a rapper, but still if they had of played around with the subtext of this movie, and put some real live literiture elements, they would have actually captured the whole principle of the DB saga, for instance vegeta, although not in this movie, has some serious racial complexes seen thoughout many races, Its not racial sterotyping I want to spire, it is more of pride that brings the concepts to a more realistic audience with multicultural favor. The chance of really looking into the audience’s race and instilling real pictures of how it can be destructive verses how it could aid the world, was lost in this movie to younger viewers who could honestly begin a stronger generational as well as cultural relation in our adoluscents’. This has been a milestone in development that has many times and again been overlooked, just to produce a story based on priceless fun. For this reason the movie industry is nothing more than an entertainment industry, rather than a true story telling genre of our past and future. Again I do not want to be raciest at all, but without seeking to instill a formal sense of multicultral dialoge the anime turned into movie, has become nothing more than a cartoon set in a live playlike performance. Vegetas race is based on an apelike testostarone driven alpha male character thus is the same for goku who should of been played as a young boy who lacks grooming and education and is driven purely by the animal instincts that give him only the necessities of life, such as be good, eat when hungry, and only kill when life is threatened, but they completely overhauled and overlooked all these elements to create a young man who is drivin solely by his peers as do all highschool students, for instance master ro calls him the choosen one, thus he feels obligated to be as such rather than being determined to protect life by defeating the predators who pray on his newly orphan inhereting family. This is also a factor they completely overlooked with piccolos character, thus making a movie that will not sell well do to lack of contemplation of where fox could take this movie to new hieghts of popularity. So overall this movie will suck, im not hating but honestly stories of all sorts usally are successful and pass on to the generations because of the moral it implicates, but this movie will only end up on dvd then in a garbage or recyclying plant for better quality movies to come, unlike starwars which is also about to follow the way of the dinosar because of its sellout attributes. It is plain to see that Fox, along with many other movie corps lack the true ability to understand what really sells, and what is just another cheep profit in the pocket. I for one thought that a million dollors was more than enough to produce a movie that amazed the world, but I was wrong, or just stuck in a relm of denying ideas because of dictorial pessimistic rehtoric that people like bush and businessmen alike take to a science. overall this movie could’ve been the best action movie to date.

the photoshopped pic made me notice somethin…where his arm is actually armoured and its not just sleeve is where his pink muscles normally are…i wonder if thats just what theyre coverin an if they get blown off maybe then we’ll see the pink parts

Piccolo doesn’t look anything like he should. If he’s supposed to be the original evil lord piccolo, then his skin is too light, he shouldn’t have armor just a martial arts gi, the boots are messed up, and where the hell are his antennae? (and did anyone else notice that when he crosses his arms you can see that his arm isn’t green?)

I think Piccolo is just great! He DOES have antennae, they are like looking backwards, not pointing up as in the cartoon. I think the antennae are just fine the way they are, imagine making them pointing up, they wouldn’t look good for me, too childish or not scary. I guess the word is adaptation…to make an adaptation requires certain changes (i.e. antennae shape)…he has them, just not exactly as in the cartoon. Adapt does not mean imitate. It would be the same if they represent Goku eating out of a bowl at light speed as they did, they wouldn’t do that, not real, not true, but they adapt that fact with a big piece of drumstick to show his anxiety while eating. Bulma’s hair is not all blue, just some parts and the same logic should be placed here..should she have all blue hair? This is just my opinion and from my point of view, adaptations are liable to change although always keeping the character’s spirit. Good point about his arm not being green!. Regards!

Anybody else notice that there are antennae in his head? I bet they come out in the movie, just you wait. I’m actually pretty excited. They have the dragonball wavy pants down as well, I see.

Also, I think one of the main reasons Piccolo looks so different in this one is to differentiate him from the good Piccolo that we will see in later films. They’ll want him to look less evil obviously. Even Piccolo Daimoh looked different from the Piccolo we all know and love. He looked older, in my opinion.

I await this movie with excitement, and I am a fan of the manga and anime.

if they did use a black guy as piccolo, here are some pointers in doing his makeup, for one he’s black, so they would have to use lighter colors in order to highlight the areas were the green appear, like his cheeks, nose and forehead, they wouldnt need any under his eyes but purhaps about his eyes, and the cheeks would probly have to be made from a silicon mold with an olive like green dye in it. But having a black person as piccolo would completely remold the look of piccolo instead of this jim cary look alike.

I like it how both look like… it’s a little bit funny.. but cool… I think it’s not easy to make them look like the real ones… a good solution! but I really like Picoolo’s arm! i mean… his head is completely green.. and then? you can see his arm: flesh colour!! xDD haha it’s great.. this movie is gonna be so lame that they had to explain the trailer to us, do to the trailers lack of self explination. I guess they just put in so many lame scenes that the whole movie is hard to keep up with as well as difficult to be excited about. They really need to trash this film and remake it with a whole new cast and scenes. It lacks thought and imagry. I just got through seeing blade runner last night on sci fi, that movie will never go out of style, but the only reason why I wouldn’t let anyone make a sequel to it, is cause it has yet to be matched with any other movie, and the part two would only hinder its flavor. Fox throw this thing away, and save some embarassment, maybe even an fbi probe for all the tax payers money you’ve spent creating movies that have no consumer input in them whatsoever. And haters don’t really exist, what haters are, is a classification that rappers apply to honest critics, but because all those rappers are insecure about keeping their unearned title they classify the critics as haters. So in reality, not a tv sitcom, im a critic. fox you suck, why cause the forbidden kingdom sucked, unless you have a very child like mind, x-men 3 sucked, unless you just like cgi and spfx, chronicles on narnia sucked because nothing in that story had any morales just the same bible story my mom used to read to me at night, its old, I don’t really know if you made those movies but you might as well, cause most of foxes movies suck, your better off just hiring some random guy off the streets like me, im good at story telling.

any1 who sees the trailer for this and is actually excited about this movie should look inside themselves and ask “which do i like, dragonball z n the whole db series, or dragonball evolution?”
in all honesty, it can’t be both.

if u wanna be all defensive or whatever, then i’ll ask u, why would u want them to change everything about the series so much? because if u honestly think they haven’t completely overhauled the story, the universe, and everything that is dragonball for this movie, u haven’t been paying attention. thats the plain and simple truth and anyone who openly disagrees could not possibly be respected by any dragonball fans.
