…i’m gonna say this… this movies fan base isn’t strong enough for a sequal… go to superhero hype… umm… everyones going crazy over X-Men and everyone is bashing DB:E… sad to say…this movie is going to be poor in the box office… I pray it’ll be a hit but lets face it… the haters have beaten us.

Now on the game topic, hopefully they make it a fighting adventure game, but I wouldn’t want it to be too short, probably explore more into the story or other things to make it much more funner

To me the game might’ve sucked if it were for all systems (which is what it’ll probably be later) but the PSP version might be good.

all those haters will see the movie. The movie still has 4 months till it comes out where people will make up there mind if they will see it or not and the videos of the trailer are literaly getting millions of hits.
It just looks worse because of all the jackasses out there who are upset that they arnt in the movie or their fanfic wasnt chosen as the script.
99% of dragonball fans would only be happy with a movie they made themselfes.
And it wouldnt apeal to anyone else but themselfes.This movie actualy follows the original story pretty closely. Anime is to over the top for direct translation to film. No anime can be made exactly like the show because firstly its a cartoon(yes shock aww its not real, animated!) and secondly the culture used behind anime is so very different. Anime artists actualy try to portray there characters as beeing white, they have a high tolerablitly for sex and violence. And they use colour that you wouldnt see in the real world. O and it has been said by Akira himself the Dragonball art is not realistic and messy, with many dopey characters.

I don’t get it. People are praising X-men, which has different storyline, costumes, etc. And yet they treat Dragonball like it is different.

That game you are talking about ISN’T OUT YET. It’s a mmorpg called DRAGONBALL ONLINE, and is the TRUE succesor to dragonball, over GT. Wonder if you knew that!

FOX is minimizing promotion, obviously. If a game is only released on the PSP it will be very disappointing. Not because we’d have to buy a PSP to play it, but because FOX has decided that only a handheld is necessary for a live Dragonball film..

Who knows the factors involved to reach that decision, but apparently Dragonball is just obscenely abandoned at the highest degree.

We’re not getting some fantastical adaptation pulled together by some of the most creative minds of Hollywood, with brilliant story-telling abilities, or directing skills, we’re getting mediocre above all else. Whether this is because FOX has owned the license for a live film for so many years, and renewing that license last year is apart of the equation or not, we’re being gipped. It’s plain and simple- we don’t agree with their methods. We have to admit it at some point. The trailer speaks mediocre rehash and cliche all over it that I’m beginning to think it’ll turn into a Japanese X-Men.

I pray this’ll be picked up by a worthy company in the future.

@Jesse J: First of all 100% of those people on Superhero hype and Youtube will be watching it. The proof is right in front of your face dude. They can hate all they want, but there still going to watch it out of curiousity. Plus it’s Dragonball!! That’s why they choose to keep watching the trailer over and over again on youtube, Ign, Superhero hype, and all those other websites.

The same reason why Shriveled member J comes in here all the time checking up on the latest news. The haters talk the talk, but they don’t walk the walk.

and wolverine may be getting support from fans now, but id bet that when the first xmen movie came out, with all the changes it has from the original source, a lot of xmen fans must have been “haters”, and we all know how successful that movie ended up being, so,, don´t worry about dragonball, its going to be huge

@nanjirou: exaclty what i think, the 1st movies are always alittle weaker comparing with the sequel, happened with batman, spiderman, x-men, always the 2nd one is the best, and for some reason the 3rd one the worse, at least it was for x-men and spider lol (and by worse i mean in reviews, i myself enjoyed’em all) so im sure this DBE 1st movie will be at least an OK movie but the sequels is what im really excited to watch ^^

My favorite Dragon Ball Z game was Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 it’s way better then Burst Limit.

THIs could be epic fail , but then it might not. the company making the game is namco bandai . namco bandia is famous for its soul caliber and tekken fighting series . so , theyre experienced in making fighting games . if you have a psp , get tekken dark resurection , its one of the best psp games ever . but then again , bandai did make the horrilbe dragonballgt final bout for the ps1 . but then bandai combined with namco , and now theyre making kick ass games .

I Just don’t know about this game… I like Tenkaichi because it was a 1-1 game.

@Doritos: The second isnt always the best when it comes to movies. (Especially if you bring up Chronicles of Narnia, and Fantastic Four) And Spiderman 3 got good reviews from critics, bad reviews from fans

How can this be a fighting game when all you got is Goku and Piccolo? I mean sure you got Yamcha, Roshi, Chi Chi and Mai but come on, i don’t think this will be a fighting game but adventure instead.

I think that they could make a pretty decent fighter in future if they expand it into a trilogy and there are more characters….but until then i think that theyll just stick with a sorta action adverture game much like the spiderman games you can still bet ill buy it tho haha

Well I hope this is not a Fighting game, there are already waaaay to many of them, the ps2 ones are awesome but, its getting boring…but i wouldnt bet they would do it anyway.

About the characters not being enough, well there is mai (which in the movie she is a fighter), chichi (a weaker fighter but still) and the real ones, goku, yamcha, roshi and piccolo, thats 6 characters, i wouldnt count with bulma, thats not enough for a fighting game BUT, there are many games, based on movies, that just add others characters, like all spiderman movie games, all of them had more than 6 bosses and in the movies there is only 1 or 2.

Hoping they make a Action-RPG game, like the one in GBA, legacy of goku, and it’s sequels….in a psp it would ROCK.

my fav db game was dragon legacy of gokue 1 ans 2 and buus fury cuz it was a good action/adventure/rpg game its rly fun to play when u are bored
