Here is my theory, Picollo takes the place of Pilaf, only much better and badass, since Mai is in his group. This may or may not take place before the world tournament, therefore Krillin is not there because this is before the WT. That doesn’t exactly explain the tournament, but I am truly hoping that the fighting in a tournament is not the World Tournament. Obviously Tien can’t be there since it is way off in the distance. I don’t care about the animals since they would have such a minor role anyways. Big thing no child Gohan because Goku isn’t married. Wow I wonder why people can’t figure that one out. The movie description says that Goku has some feelings about Chi Chi, but doesn’t say he’ll marry her. Put that all together=this movie will take place during the first Dragon Ball Saga. It all makes sense. Yes there are rumors of Roshi dying, but what do you think the Dragon Balls are for, hopefully they stick to that at least.

What’s is the source of the photo above? Notice all the characters that are in the Anime that have hair, show hair visible poking from under the toboggans (caps). However, Master Roshi shows some white hair poking thru. Too High on his head and in the wrong place to be his eyebrows, even if they were grown out, because of the angles of the points. Hmm… Wearing a wig?? Seems his cap’s white fringe or band of turned up hat where the white meets red is more perfectly rectangular in shape than the others too. Being center stage and what I would judge eye level, I discount the pointy stuff as a defect in the cap or eyebrows. Someone drew him with hair! Fake or real you got hair on the guy everybody said never had any! Well, every bitter critic that is…
Maybe when, or if, Master Roshi takes a journey into the mountains, he takes that opportunity to grow a little hair, hmm. Helps keep a guy’s head warm. How’s that for a belated present fans??
