you don’t understand the concept of adaptation. you lie to yourself when you don’t want a carbon copy.
Goku never went to high school so what? It’s a “what if” situation what would happen if Goku did go to school, it would be pretty damn funny and it will show how different he is from the SOCIAL world, he is still Goku, he doesn’t even pay attention in class and day dreams about food and prolly fighting, and when he does his answers are dumb.

Dragonball isn’t this complex story you keep trying make it out as, even the Anime which is adapted from the manga had changes and filler. It’s not that hard to take the characters from Dragonball, and the key plot lines, and create your own story of Dragonball, many have done and they still have the core philosophy of Dragonball. what don’t you understand about this? what don’t you understand that this is Wong’s Dragonball, not Akira’s just like you have your Dragonball, and I have mine, and so on, yeah I have my own little fan script for a movie, but that’s what it is a fan script.

Like Akira said this is a new Dragonball and he was pleased with it
now I’m saying you have to be pleased you’re human being and you have your own input
but sometimes the things you complain about and the assumptions you make are so irrelevant it’s quite annoying

Yea, the amount of nit picking that goes on especialy on such insignificant things is realy anoying. Its funny because if Akira made this movie and made it exactly like it is beeing made now they would be like, wow this is awsome he has made dragonball something new and something to get excited about again, and it is so good seeing goku go to school, should make some good comedy.
They realy are just nit picking and I think it is mostly because they aer gelouse that it isnt their fan fic that was chosen as the script..

This is where it all comes down to. It’s a movie, that’s it. No matter how good or bad it is, it’s a movie. It’s not the anime, it’s not the manga, it’s a movie. You like or don’t like the anime/manga, that’s kool. Don’t like or do like the movie, that’s fine. The same thing goes for all “movie adaptions”, or just movies in general. Bash it or praise it, the result is the same, it’ll be just a movie. This can be a good movie, but a bad adaption, or it can be a good adaption and a bad movie or vice-versa, or both.
In the end, it’s just a movie to only try to entertain general audiences , and if it doesn’t, then oh well, the movie wasn’t entertaining. That is what the media is therefore. I have friends who like dragonball, and some that don’t even like it and can’t stand it. The same goes for movies. I can hate this movie, and another might love it.

This movie is Dragonball, Dragonball Evolution or w.e. Why? Even if I don’t get the vibe of it. It is. The movie is based on a story of a young boy and etc etc etc, bout seeking the dragonballs to grant a wish or whatever, and etc etc.

No matter how bad of an adaption or how good it may turn out, it’s a movie. Insult or praise it all you want. It’s going to turn out the same. A Movie…

Anyways, I for one would like to see this movie, and these still make me more curious. Even though the story is altered up from the manga, I’m still going to watch it. I want to see the movie, just to see how it turns out and what’s going to happen. I hope this movie is good, not cause it’s based on Dragonball, just because I hope any movie I go see in general is good. If it’s bad oh well!

Oh and on more thing. Something that didn’t stay true to the Star Wars series in the movies!

How silly FOX viral marketing campaign really is. First they put new pictures on this site and then they remove them.. This is not going to create hype instead this is getting pretty annoying. FOX marketing guys think to be geniuses and they fail to understand their terrible mistakes. They are going to cause this movie more troubles acting like this and it will bomb worse than expected if they keep doing this kind of stuff. They are not good at viral marketing and box office results will prove it.
