Justin and Emmy Interview
Justin Chatwin (Goku) and Emmy Rossum (Bulma) were interviewed by Sankei Shinbun, a Japanese newspaper. We’re once again provided with a translation.
“There are a lot of Dragonball fans all over the world. I was always thinking what the fans were thinking, I felt responsibility,” said Chatwin, who was chosen as Goku, with a serious face.
“He totally devoted himself to practice the role, so when he stepped into a dangerous area, no one could approach him,” said Rossum. Chatwin responded with a joke, “I was thinking it was my mission to fight against the bad guys of Mexico City.”
“Dragonball” tends to be thought of “for kids,” but Chatwin says “the movie is the story of Goku coming to be a warrior. It will be enjoyable for both children and adults, even non-fans.” Rossum adds, “The movie is also devoted to the adult fans who grew up with Dragonball.”

Guys, its a 50/50 chance between PG or PG-13. So you have to wait until a couple of weeks or days till we see the official rating for this film.

Tom Welling is identified with Clark Kent, but I don`t know why he never will be considered a good option for a superman movie xD
This Chatwin look fine but the problem of his seriousness is more because how they made the character, mixing the first saga, of adventure and funny search, with Piccolo`s saga full from drama and death included. Don`t ask a smiling and adventurer Goku if he has his grandpa killed. And that`s the sad part.

This is good to hear. Film is devoted to its fans that grew up with it. YAY! Perhaps this film will be even better than everyone thought!
And I’m glad to hear that Justin Chatwin really felt out this role for the fans sake. Makes me really suspicious that he WAS that guy that kept coming on here using that name and defending the movie. Really strange.

If that rumor’s true that Tom Welling was considered the role of Goku then thank God he was turned down. He’s not that good of an actor!!!
@chicagoboy888: Yea really. I’ve only ever seen Chatwin in one other thing (The Chumscrubber) and he wasn’t that bad in it. Plus he sort of looks like Goku so I don’t think he was a bad choice. The only problem I have with him is that he needs to put on some muscle. But I guess that’s not that big of a deal for this first movie because it’s based on when he was younger. But if they come out with a DBZ movie, he definitely has a lot of work ahead of him.

I felt Goku’s presence and it was over 9,000.

i have a bad feeling there gunna screw up vegeta…like there gunna make him some prince on some other country instead of a different planet…and i hope they make his aura purple like when vegeta first came…but this is gunna be in the next movie not this one….hopefully

I can’t wait for the release. Im going to take my best friend and his little brother who are both long tiem Dragonball fans as well as me.The movie is not going to be 100% of a copy but at least to have a live action DragonBall film appear in theaters is an honor. We awaited I believe around 6 years if I recall correctly since our Librarian told us of the rumored movie when I was in 7th grade. I hope the film franchise becomes popular enough to make a good series of films and even bring DB back to popular glory. I know a lot of people who are not up to the idea of this movie but I know they are going to see it anyways. As me and my friend discussed, if everything was exactly the same there wouldn’t be a surprise. It’s also fun seeing how certain characters are betrayed such as Mai becoming a deadly assasin compared the the previous team rocket style role she had.
That VegetaDTX Really PISSES me Off!! Let’s Make Our Own Protest and have so many people on it, it’ll destroy their petition and show em there are more fans then haters!!
I don’t think we’ll get another one and If we do it’ll come out late Febuary
