Bonton film, the Czech distributor of Dragonball Evolution have finally open the “official” site for the movie and we got official short Czech synopsis. The only new information here, or rather confirmation is that the movie is 100min long and is rated as 12+. Hopefully there will be more informations and photos soon .

Actually the dumbest thing I`ve said is that “dbE must be released in USA first” That goes against the global phenomena that DB is. Dragon Ball is so big that its movie deserves a world premiere. But fox doesn`t think that DB is so big to do that, unfortunelly.

I have to agree with Kershner’s comment, DBZ has been in Europe and Asia way longer than in the US. I think its totally fair for them to get the movie first. As for the pirating situation, everyone knows that its inevitable, Lest movie theaters start frisking customers or baggage checking. Personally though, I hate FOX and their movie ethics. They cancelled Futurama and firefly for gods sake. AND they butchered the hell out of all the comic book movies that have come out. All that FOX ever cares about is money. I mean DBZ Evolution? What the fuck. Fox basically HAD to change the name of the movie to avoid any Copyright infringment because of all the changes to the story and characters. Its fucking crap!!

And we know dragonball until 1988, I think everybody who is between 7 and 35 have seen dragonball when he was kid.

more than 50% of them are fan.

Even my Parents (who are 60) are manga fan and know dragonball.

My Parent have even made the cosplay of Bulma and Roshi.

Do you know in US people who are 60 doing cosplay (my parents have made more than 10 cosplay )

Hi all, i’m from Poland, and DB will air 17th in my country( i think it’s huge crap). Some people here have right about DB and France. France had DB first. I don’t know how old r u guys but I’m a huuuuge fan of DB !!! I’ve heard about the movie about 6-8 years ago and… I’ve been waiting soooo long, i can wait a couple more days sorry 4 mistakes, me english is a little bit rusty kamehame DB fans

Im not pissed cause “it’s not fair”, Im pissed that the actual DVDrip is gonna come out before it releases here in theatres. They should learn by now that they CANT stop botlegging and best way to make money is to have simultaneous release.

The movie Taken has had a Bluray rip on the internet for more than two months now, and it still hasnt released here in theatres.

they wont lose much money… movies take way more than a week to leak after they’re released in theaters. unless you’re talking about camera leaks from france… but who would wanna watch that? i guess everyone for this movie because the majority of DBZ fans wouldnt pay to see this movie XD

at least its not as bad as the movie taken. it came out in france in february of LAST YEAR. then two other european countries in august and september. then a few days ago here in america… everyone would pirate the shit out of dragonball if it was like that.

There are rumors around the industry that dragon ball will premiere earlier in Mexico too mbe his is because dragon ball is so much bigger in latin america, asia and europe than in the us

Think for a second, how big is America? How big is Japan? How big is France? Imagine three mothers who have to cook dinner for their kids. One mother has only 1 kid. The second has only 2 kids. And the third mother has 6 kids. Which one is gonna have dinner ready later than the rest? All of the promotional materials, posters, games, a whole slew of shit has to go to almost every decent sized city in the huge country of America. Not to mention the movie itself, which they don’t just download to the movie theater. They have to use real physical copies of the film at every location and that film has to get there first. The release date is the day Fox can be one hundred percent sure that everything is in place and can give the OK to start showing it.

Hi guys, I’m french and I can understand why you all are upset about this Fox decision, but in my opinion, even if DB is more popular in france than the US, the reason is business… I am 25 and I grew up with dragon ball, like everyone in france, so I think it’s a Fox strategy to release the movie in France before US because everybody will going to theater to see it. Most movies are released in the US first, sometimes a lot of months before us so… this is not dramatic, and don’t be fool, this is not a April joke

Dragonball was on TV in france around the same time as in japan, you’ll notice alot of the old dragonball snes games are also released in another language…french. japan and france are the two places the movie is likely to do the best, create the best buzz and rake in the most money per head count. all of this can help the US release and a sequel.

Ok Seriously wtf cares who gets it first, you will eventually see it, although in my own opinion they have over compensated for this diverse world in which i think that the actor fitting Goku doesnt seem right and although im not asian in any way i would have thought it fitting for somebody from Japan to play Goku, his physique for somebody who trains in martials arts seems to be a little relaxed, this is JUST my opinion before anybody gets angry, i will still see the movie as a fan of DBZ but slightly disappointed, and i don’t mind when/where/how/why it comes out aslong as it does.
