    Omg would all you babies shut up about the whole smiling issue who gives a shit if there smiling on posters go see the god damn movie. You can’t possibly tell how chatwin will play goku or emmy will play bulma etc.. from the few things we’ve seen. So this may not be like the anime so what if it is more serious if I want to go watch the anime I’ll go pop it in right now give it up it’s diffrent in alot of ways and similar in some say something we havint hear 10 million times. If you judge a movie before you see it then your an idiot thats a fact I member for instance when I first heard chrstina bale was playing batman one of my favorite super hero’s ever I had no idea who he was an how he would do and look what he did he’s the best batman ever. Quit complaining and go see the movie it might just suprize you. I think it is going to be awesome in my opinion but thats just me.

    @DPA:
    Lol atleast we have something in common, I was going to do a combined marketing/design degree and did a subject in bus management.
    Im not sure a movie follows the 4 p’s the same way as a normal product. Its not a can of coke beeing sold here. However it does still follow them I just feal it does more in a way that its done more in the merchandise off springed from the product as apposed to the product itself. And that offspring merchandise is what drives the product. so for example they dont need to promote the movie as much asthey need to promote the toys for the movie or games for it or books. Geuse it just works on a multi leveled basis.

    @sajin0084.deviantart.com:

    Well the movie is the main product, if merchandising is sold out is irrelevant for the image of the product, there´s a benefit but chinese factories that exploit children win more with the toys.

    Fox and its main product (film) get control over promotion, product and place. Prize is a delimited factor.

    About place, there´s a lot of problems about distribution (the movie comes first in japan, a month later in france, then USA, Uk, and etc)for a big budget movie, it´s a risk.

    About promotion, well that includes the merchadising, advices, posters, promo photos, trailers, etc. And in all of those stuff there are good points and bad points. final trailer is good in general but we have seen the trailer with visual and audio effects being improved from japanese site to US other, that´s weird. internet is not the best place to install a QA area.

    And product, well I mentioned this problem about the logo. We don´t know more about the product. But IMO the cast is in general more than decent, good actors (but some unrecognizble characters´s design), with experience, the director well, I don´t like his previous work. I consider Dragon Ball a succesfull franchise, and if DB is presented in a movie, the movie must be like the franchise. But I don´t confuse success with money. It´s a lot more. Nominations, oscars, golden globes, but viewing crew, pictures and the info, those chances look remote. Adapting something starting with highschool almost never ends good. But in fact, we can just talk about product, product is already finished. fox needs to focus in promotion. Let´s see if fox can sell sand in the desert this time.

    @DPA:
    You know what, now your giving your opinion…If you just talked like that from the beginning people wouldnt give you such a hard time.
    I dont think that this movie would get oscar nomination even if it is the best movie in the world. Action, superhero movies adventure (most of the time), dont get a second look in the oscar dpartment, they normaly save them for dramas or movies that touch on some culture conflict, its very political.
    Like I have said earlier Im not to dissapionted in lack of promotion up to now becasue of adams site and the big fan base following.
    My hope was always for a huge intense last couple of months where you would go everywere and see Dragonball. It seems to be picking up and we will wait and see if that is what happens.

    @DPA
    It´s like a batman bagins poster showing Christian Bale smiling and wearing tuxedo. And believe me, that´s far from meaning of marketing.

    that is so amazingly true that no words can describe it. Why do people rip on u saying u hate DB:E when occasionally you defend it against idiots?… You are just a regular guy telling faults YOU dislike about the movie and there is NOTHING wrong with that so people stop ripping on him, he will probobly watch it heck lotsa people will and they can ALL say what they want about it so just let DPA be!!

    P.S. If I get ripped for this you have nothing 2 say because I <3 DB:E with a passion and I WILL bbuy the books figures and game just to collect them (im a pack rat)
