    @AlightEnds: Like a lot of us have said, japanese music totally belongs in this movie, but just when its appropriate. I just think that most of us beleive it belongs in 1 part of the movie, the credits. Besides, none of us know what she is singing. What if her song is about Prince of the Gnomes? I mean lets be fair, where would you yourself play this song during the movie?

    @Frsh: I didnt think about that…..i am not sure that they would promote during superbowl…..but then again they would be smart to do so…lol…i didnt even think about that being a possibility.

    Remember, the Superbowl is on NBC.
    Not Fox! Besides. 3,000,000 for 30 sec?
    hmm… You think Fox would spend 12,000,000 dollars to advertise Dragonball?
    Isn’t it already confirmed Wolverine has a slot in it?

    I just want to clarify something.I hate that Brian Anthony song,i think he sounds like a no hack no talented queer.I was just suggesting (because they will be using worked up in the movie at some point:) where i think they might use it.It would not be in the credits.That’s for damn sure.It is too crappy. the lyrics are crappy, his voice is crappy ajnd he is just overall Crappy.! :D

    @cj thong: No blame game, just a discussion…
    I cringed pretty hard at his music video, but maybe the women love him, who knows.

    Alot of speculation in this thread. I guess next week a few things will get sorted out.
    Full Lyrics to Ayumi’s song is most likely high on the list. When the full lyrics are posted think in terms of pictures and ideas, because when the words come over into English, I don’t see them rhyming. They don’t for me anyway…

  21. February 1st, 2009 at 05:11 | #21

    @Adam:

    Not, just for me not, I`m not selfish xB

    And Wong said in a mexican magazine that Akira didn`t have direct participation, like surely Stan Lee had with another films.

  22. February 1st, 2009 at 05:20 | #22

    @DPA: hey akira didnt have a direct participation to the anime either. he said he tried staying out of their way as much as possible, so im sure he did the same with this movie

    @AlightEnds:
    so….i mean transformers was japanese also…..so i dont get where ur goin with this…but its not jus the fact that its japanese….i understand that japan made dragonball..but this song sounds like it should be in a movie like spy kids or something…haha…i dunno…jus not my genre of music..and it doesnt fit the hardcore action of the show…i swear if in the next movie they got some damn girl singing pop music while vegeta is killing people im gonna fight the people who made the movie :!:

    they said that they really didnt wanna ad the convoluted plot from DBZ into DB:E because it would be impossible to squeeze all that into just 3 movies without pissing off that fans (definately no gohan for 1) but I still like the original DB more anyway so its good for me :mrgreen:

    whoaa!!!!!!! kick ass song ther Ayumi!! a while back wen i read the article about Ayumi Hamasaki singing the them song for the movie i thought she was singing the opening theme song fROM the Anime, but after hearing this i believe their goin to use “Rule” at the start of the ending credits after Goku defeats Piccolo and i agree with what “kid green” it should start from when King Piccolo spits out the egg and continues on from there! that’ll be SICK!!!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: i also agree with “nate”, with a song that good used at the end, theres no doubt there doin sequels for it. i read from this website that if the flims a succes at the box-office that they r doin seqeuls and i hope it does :D :D :D

  36. February 1st, 2009 at 09:54 | #36

    @REPAIR MAN MAN:

    But the anime was made in Japan, and surely by hardcore fans.

    Akira accept all of this because of the money that he received, but he`s on his right to do that, there`s nothing wrong about it.

    February 1st, 2009 at 09:59 | #37

    Thats pretty lame song..I think a band like Disturbed should have done the theme. Im sick of these chessy Jap songs on dragonball. Some good rock really makes the action alot more intense to watch. Think about it. :!:

    February 1st, 2009 at 10:27 | #38

    I love that song! It is going to fit with the movie so well! I just hope fox doesn’t cop out and change it for English audiences. :roll:

  39. February 1st, 2009 at 11:13 | #39

    Is this going to be in Jap version only or in Engligh too?

    Off topic: I figured it out! I figured why Goku says “I’m not ready for this” they just placed it wrong in the trailer. Here is a pic demonstrating why he is saying it http://i41.tinypic.com/110b2hh.png

    And this song sounds pretty good. Perfect theme song for the movie, sounds very DBish. Only 2 months left til we see this amazing movie

  42. SSJ4Pikachu
    February 1st, 2009 at 12:10 | #42

    @Rambo: Even though I agree with the Disturbed thing, and the fact I love metal/rock. You have to think of it as Dragonball (manga/anime) originated from Japan. They used Japanese music for Dragonball in Japan. And they are currently doing so with America with the Digitally Remastered Season Sets. The song isn’t the best thing I have ever heard, but it fits the whole Dragonball mood, considering you have sat down and listened to the original DB/DBZ theme songs. Though the only one I know the name to is Chala Head Chala. So the theme song choice was obviously aimed for fans, or atleast fans who prefered the music stylings of the Japanese version. I hope that makes some sense.

    @Everyone that hates this song
    Ok, don’t be angry. You should be grateful that Ayumi Hamasaki, which is practically the biggest solo artist in Asia is singing the theme.
    This song is not going to be used in the American version of the movie obviously, since N. America is so egocentric. It’s Japan, I highly doubt they’ll have Disturbed, Papa Roach, or Linkin Park singing a theme for it LOL
    Although, I have Ayu’s complete discography, this isn’t her greatest rock song. But I think it fits, since well this isnt the greatest movie. lol

  49. Megumi
    February 1st, 2009 at 13:21 | #49

    @ichiban : it will be the theme song for every release in each country, it’s official and has ben said many times, so in each country in which DBE is gonna be released, Rule will be the theme song obviously. And there will only be a japanese version of it.
    Concerning Rule MV, I don’t think there will be DBE scenes in it. Ayu did several theme songs for OST, video games or dramas in the past, and in the MVs there were never excerpts of them…

  50. February 1st, 2009 at 13:40 | #50

    @nelson18: Thanks Nelson!! If anyone else has seen the Dragonball poster in the theater please show us a picture. :mrgreen:
