Well at first 20th Century Fox was doing very well for Dragonball Evolution in the uk for instence: Bannes Posters and trailers in the cinema wich all apeared on december 30th 2008 i was very happy then i was like the promotion rocks. Then around febuary 23rd i saw the first Dragonball Evolution Tv Spot wich is nearly a whole 2 months before the movie comes out and that rarley happens usually we see a tv spot for a movie a good 15 days before the release so then i was estactic but only on kids channel so i thought in a while it will move up to normal adult or entertaining channels. Then about a good 15 days before the films release i started seeing loads of billboards,banners,tv spots and promotion on buses for films such as: The Fast And The Furious,Monters vs Aliens,The Haunting In Conneticet,lesbian vampire killers,Mall cop,race to witch mountin, knowing, x-men origins wolverine and by far the worst 17 agian. Then iam like where is Dragonballs Promotion where is all the billboards,banners,tv spots on every channel and promotion on buses. And i gotta say i was very very dissapointed. Sure Bannes Posters and trailers in the cinema and tv spots on kids channels is good but if this movie is to be a succses we need billboards,banners,tv spots on every channel and promotion on buses.

Yeah, indeed, and some rumors are saying Christophe Lambert will play Lord Rayden again like in the first movie. Same case for Sub Zeros actor as well.
2009-2010 will be the years of the video game & mangas adaptations:

Dragonball, Tekken, Virtual Fighter, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc.

Wow, an extra 40min that is basically a new different movie comapred to the 80min asian release…
The reviews might have scared fox and since the box office across the board in Asia dropped about 50% or more in its second week, maybe they had to add way more footage.

Hopefully it will be for the better!

Well you probably seen a bootleg or a version that doesnt have the extra footage that some places are getting. So you cant really tell anyone the movie’s not great and plus thats your opinion anyhow if theres really 40 extra min then I dont want to hear anything until I see it. Good Evening everyone. We live in Nagoya. We just went to Tokyo to watch this movie.As most of the guys here react about the movie. Yeah we are in the same tack. The Fox just rushed everything and reform a legendary warrior we all loved through the years. We didn’t expect as much impact with the series but at least they pay respect to what we imagine it would be on the big screen. I mean they did it to some of there movies specially the effects but they render less effort to make this movie epic. It really hurts as so much because we’ve grown to this series and end up like this. We watched some news here and the japan movie industry will do a remake of this film on 3D i think. i hope Fox recognized there faults and leave the film to the experts

The problem with all this story and the haters that are not satisfied with Dragonball Evolution is the fans fantasized too much the past years on what an adaptation of this cult manga would be. I remember rumors saying Hugh Jackman will play Goku, Ray Park -Vegeta and Di Caprio – Trunk, and even the Governator – C-16, lol. Common’ that was unrealistic and none of this happened. So when we start to believe in things like this we can only be disappointed with the result of the movie.

I think the movie is a good start, it could have been much better of course, but it’s still decent. The next chapter will be better, they will learn the lessons of their mistakes, so everyone can be satisfied again.

that’s just a fan that made that…if a fan can make that with his “simple” computer, then why didn’t piccolo look like that in the movie if they have a $100,000,000 budget? And I know piccolo i supposed to be old, but i think this picture is much better then the piccolo in the movie…

Man, I am so lost now with the running time of the film.
Couldn’t fox just release the movie everywhere with the same running time.
Its going from 80sumthin to 122 to 84 to 100 to God knows where.
Im thinking here that maybe some of the extra footage that we may get were the reshoots and such that took place in December .. who knows.
