with all respects, I’m a Dragon Ball Fans. After watching the movie, I feel broken heart. My purpose is not about stopping the movie, but expecting some other companies like Fox wold remake the movie. Hopefully with the petition, the DBE makers such as Fox and James Wong would know what have they done to Dragon Ball. They rape it to make fortune, they put “evolution” in the title as an excuse.. they just borrow the name of a masterpiece and ruin it like shit. Before I watch the movie, I feel the same like you guys, I can’t wait for it, although I know the movie would not reach my expectation. I was proud DB is finally made in live action. At least it would entertain me a bit.. but the fact is far more than a bit.. it’s Zero!! I feel so pissed off..!! I want it to be remaked, I hope Matchowsky Brothers would hear this petition, since they are also a great fans of Mangga and Dragon Ball (recall the Agent Smith & neo fighting in the rain, flying and demolishing tall buildings, just referenced in Dragon Ball they said). Match Bro also directed a live action movie based on mangga called Legend of Heavenly Sphere Shurato, with the new cool title: The 8 Guardians of Vishnu, and it would be released in 2010 hopefully. Hence, respectfully, now I’ve become the DBE haters, but not DB haters. All dude that feel the same way, please sign the petition.. and let them know about what have they done. In the end dragonball is not your life it’s a fictuous awesome story but it isnt real. Goku isn’t flying around doing kamehameha’s it’s just a story. An awesome story I love dragonball alot and I’m so glad they made a movie but I dont feel sad by anything. There all movies they dont effect my life they dont rape my childhood. Like Ben ramsey said there are actual children out there being raped yet you got the audacity to come in here and say fox raped your childhood they raped dragonball? @carl135: That article comes from VegetaDTX and his bunch of nerds…i mean, haters. I wouldn’t pay attention to any article that has his name on it, nor any other guy whose intention is and has allways been destroying this movie since 2002, for pure irrational hatrid and fun. Plus, i don’t see anything there that looks reliable, and we’ve already seen too many attempts from haters to come up with lies, intrigues and false rumours like that.

@Avantgarde81: They didn’t ruin anything, and from the simple and cut bootleg i find the movie quite cool, and more true to Dragonball than most people make it look. And so do many people who come here. Plus, if this movie fails (wich it wont), then other than a reboot what you’ll get is the death of the franchise, because, as you said correctly, FOX, like any other business in the world, will only invest in a project if it turns out profitable (it doesn’t make FOX bad, it makes it like any other company, big or small). If this turns out unprofitable, than the franchise will most likely be buried. As for saving your world and your childhood memories…i suggest you take a look at Ben Ramsey’s response to that a-hole VegetaDTX, and rethink your life, cause i’ve seen all those dumb lines before and i’ve grown tired of paying attention to that attitude a long time ago. And also take into account that such a petition hurts the ones who like the movie, and, just like you have the right to dislike it and not see it (yet i bet you’ll see it again especially if the rumour about the 122min is true, wich i also doubt btw…), we have the right to like it and see it many, many times.

@hiroka: nice post, i hadn’t checked ign today because i’m still in class and can’t pick it up on my wireless, i’ll be happy with a trilogy but if these movies get better, and like Chatwin said, go towards Z, then 5-7 movies will be a gift from God to me and all Dragonball, Z, and GT fans, i hope to continue to hear news like this

I strongly believe that FOX’s reason to move the film to the weekend is because they know that it’s going to be bad, and they’re trying to rake in as much money from this thing before bad word-of-mouth gets around. I don’t blame them, I’ve seen the film leaked online, and it’s no Power Rangers movie by a LONG shot. In fact Dragonball Evolution and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the Movie shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence because at least as I can tell, Power Rangers cared about the fans.

Let’s get this film out already so it will go to DVD faster, and maybe then we’ll get to see an extended directors edition or an alternate ending or SOMETHING that might take this film up one step from unwatchable.

Why do people keep saying they should 30 or 40 more mins? They can’t added that much and shoot that much time with less than 2 weeks til the US release. They can’t just add fights in the story without changing the story or else they will look outta place. People just have to hope for an extra 5 to 7 min fight scene not a whole 30 or 40 mins because its not happening!

I think Fox should make 7 Dragon Ball films.

Im from Sydney and its opening up here on the 9th, so ill see it before most of you, hopefully it will be the the longer version of DB:E but ill post what i think of it when ive watched it and you’ll know that i least saw “hopefully” the longer version at the cinema.

Oh noooooo! April 10th falls on Holy Week. I won’t be able to see DBE on opening day. Oh well, I’ll see it on the 12th.

I hate to say it but i dont think fox should have the rights to something like this. I love All of Dragonball but i hope the movie fails in america so they sell the rights to someone who “knows what they are doing”. Not to someone who “thinks they know what they are doing”. I’m still going to see the movie but my expectations are alot lower that last summer when i was pumped for it. Keep Marsters and Chatwin but different Studio and director.

@Stevie B: People say 30 minutes comparing with the bootleg dude, everyone here watched the 70 minutes bootleg, if the domestic movie is 100 minutes then there is 30 minutes missing, IF the movie is like in Asia, there is from 15 to 19 minutes missing (from the bootleg), either way, we get more footage.

yo i was watching nick and instead of seeing a trailer for dragonball evolution i saw an interview!

I just posted a thread on the forums of the uk having advance screenings and its bookable at this moment lol im booking mine know premier seats also films in the uk that have advance screening are big films and when it looks like we will be getting billboards and bus promotion soon.

if u want to c dragonball movie before everyone else send me an email that u want to c it and ill tell u how. so stop ur damn crying about o man i cant wait to c the movie and all that sh*t.

movietickets.com says the movie is an hour and 40 minutes, thats almost two hours-why are people disappointed? its even a little longer than the standardized movie.

I don’t think the fact that it is fox making the movie is really the big issue. though I am not sure they put the best actors/actress to play the parts. but I guess that we will just have to wait and see. I do like the idea of starting in the begining and making it span over like 7 movies make sort of a series out of it. Well see ya all on the 10th:!:

it says on this site that it is released April 10th … but on the advertisment trailer on TV it says April 8th ….so does it come out April 8th in UK or April 10th?
