Cast Interviews
The cast and crew of DB:E have been doing a bunch of interviews recently, so much so that it has been impossible for us to keep track of them all. We might compile a list later, but for the moment check out our favorite interview, which was conducted by MovieWeb.
Also check out ComingSoon’s video interview.

at my local theater in Fresno it says its 1 Hr. 40 Mins…..
weee!
@Z Ball Dragon: Well Im confident DBE will make the top 10 charts on Fandango. Cuz the movie in third place is put at 10 mil dollars (i believe they base the money for the amount of money they made for that week/opening weekend) So Im sure it will make a significant amount. In the end, they’ll end up getting as much money, if not more, from the budget they spent making this film.
Its odd. On the fan reviews for DBE it seems more people ENJOYED it, then how it seem son this site ._. I always thought there were more haters of this movie than supporters. Yet fandango proved me wrong >.>”
Two more days guys!!! Btw I live in Dallas, Tx. How many people from Dallas are gonna go see this movie with me??!! Lol
@Dalinqua:
you know something thats your opinion i wasnt offending anyone and yet you insult me right off the bat, and trying to force your opinion on me and everyone else ,your opinion and anyone else’s opinion doesn’t bother me, i usually avoid the insults so im just going to be the bigger man and just disagree.
and by me not insulting you means that im a bigger man than you so whatever you say, but like i said im going to enjoy itand theres nothing you can do about it.
So it seems that it will be 100 minutes….hope it is in canada where i am as well! I noticed with bootleg that some scenes were missing something, like when Gokus bike is crushed by the car i remember in the leaked Ben Ramsey script that he moves the car. so maybe that is one of the many things they add in? Also, Ramseys script had krillen…so maybe he will be at master roshis house??
2 more days yeah I cant wait it’s going to be awsome thx fox so much your a great company!
Ok I have to ask since I’m confused.
The movie had no N.American advanced screening according to one site which reviewed it’s trailer (because there was no movie screening). So…what did all these North American review sources watch? Unless they went to Japan/Asian to catch it there, are they watching bootleg and reviewing that? Same with UK sources…did the movie come out there already? I’m just extremely curious since I see reviews from big sites like IGN UK and this other UK site I was at, but I thought they got it at the same time as America/Canada?
I’m just confused.
@TSpinelli4321!:
The movie wasn’t much more than 80 minutes by my calculations.
HOWEVER- there were definately a few parts missing, like when piccolo crushes gohans house, there is a short part of that clip that I saw in the clips that leaked, that WERE NOT in the movie. Perhaps they will be the the longer “Director’s Cut” version
The movie was just so inconsistent in it’s quality. At times I thought “wow this is like nothing I’ve ever seen!”, and at other times I thought “oh dear that’s not the best…”- perhaps this is the low budget showing through…?
Anyway I’m sure you will all really enjoy it, PROVIDING you go in with an open mind, and realise that this ain’t DBZ, it’s a bit less intense than DBZ…
I saw the pre-screening on tuesday night, as my friend works in the cinema (biggest cinema in Northern Ireland) and got me in for free
.
It was released to all cinemas in the UK today, wednesday 8th April.
i hope there is a sequal so they change director and writer in my opinion they should get the guy from the incredible hulk(2008) and someone whos knows dragonball and they should chande shenron like in this but more realistichttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbwrBjXziOY&feature=related

Best interview yet! Thanks!
adam thanks for all the news i saw the movie and i love it!!!!!!!!! dude theres gonna be a sequl the whole cast was great. the movie is the best of 2009. i dont care what people think about the movie i love it all the haters can go die in a hole. the movie had great moreal stuff.
Goku never went to highschool so how is it in between you are doing this to make money and put this great anime down the drain good job hopefully u trick enough people to watch this to breack even with the budget and good job at making it look terrible.
You know, I just came back from seeing Dragon Ball Evolution and I feel compelled to express my feelings on the matter. Like many of you, I too grew up watching DB, DBZ and DBGT. Every time I watched Goku and the other characters, I would be inspired, not just to be a better martial artist, but to be a better person. I laughed with these characters and like many of you, I shed some tears when it ended. Having seen DBE, I got a lot of that same feeling. Yes, I do think that Piccolo’s outfit is a little silly, and yes, some of the storyline wasn’t what I would have preferred, but conveying that feeling of inspiration and wonder is good enough for me. I loved the movie and I give it a 10/10. Just my humble opinion. Thank you for listening.
heyzz
i LOVE db so i went and saw this movie today and i enjoyed it. its a good movie for fans of the animated series. but for the next generation of kids its not right because it gives them the wrong impression of dragonball and goku… goku is a strong person who is happy being himself and is strong and has faith.. in the movie he is lost and wanted to be ‘normal’ he didnt realy enjoy training and it just gives out the wrong message about goku for those who havent seen the animated goku. i dont think this brings db into the next generation..but thats jst my opinion im sharing =] this is a great movie that i am definatly going to watch again! ive loved and watched db.dbz nd dbgt scince for ever… it is the greatest show eva!
I’m sory to say this, but the movie isn’t that good… truthfully, it sucks.

They should have really considered making a final fantasy style movie, where the characters would have a human look and they would have kept their faces. But then again, they had to make the kamehameha’s real… with CGI… anyways, that’s my opinion.
I saw it for a 3rd time and I relise the movie is not good and I wrote a better script then them sorry for saying that I dont think Wong should direct another one
hhhhhh pretty good but kinda shitty at the same time but satisfied and had some awesome parts…dont fuck up dragonball z marsters lol or ill be pissed
The movie was very decent, I liked the characters enough, it wasn’t like the manga/anime, but i’m glad they made a movie and it doesn’t suck, Bulma was perfect! maybe Master roshi could grow his long beard for the next movie? If Jackie Chan was younger he could’ve been a good Goku because of his optimist attitude
@ Goku34
Quit being 5. Random “hater” as you so put: DBE BLOWZ!!!11!1
Goku34: blah blah blah chatwin said this, chatwin said that, blahdy fucking blah. Fuck you man The best part about having an opinion is that its a fucking opinion. You can’t change that. If someone wants to be passionate about something and you disagree then shove a pineapple up your ass, light yourself on fire, slit your wrists, overdose on something, hang yourself and then let forensics figured out what actually caused your death.
@ Diego
Jackie Chan as Roshi would’ve been pretty cool considering his pseudonym in the world martial arts tournament.
ok i though the movie was great i love it however some of the people did not look the same but i understant that but yes it was great thouout the hold thing besids that Krillin was not in that one it was good and i am hopeing for the next one sometime soon well thanks much
what a bad movie, bad story not like in the same first part in the manga -_-”. and the final fight Goku vs Piccolo is so short -_-” !!! some character missed: Krillin, Olong the little pig and Puar serves as Yamcha’s constant companion…
:?
I still ify about the movie live acton thing i wouldn’t say it really bad looking if they it the middle or DB & DBZ am cool down with that . i see if i like it on dvd 1 if make alot money bucks movies i give it 2 shot at it .
Becase 1 i love the cartoon show win it was on cartoon network from DBZ to DB than DBGT love it alot. i do injoy the cartoon movies. i got in the games DBZ B 2 i will get the DBZ BT 3 game for Wii
I love DragonBall and DBZ and DBGT and everything that has to do with SuperSaiyans and Nameks, and Ki….
I really cherish the lessons I learned from Goku when I was being raised by television. He gave me hope for the world and the confidence in myself to overcome obstacles of dark nature and everyday problems. I also look up to him as a hero and a saint, because no matter how difficult the battle, no matter how strong his opponent, no matter what the circumstances, he always ALWAYS held true to his kind and forgiving nature… Standing up for the little guy, even when the little guy was bigger than Goku, encouraging the bad guys to stop being bad, spreading his charismatic and peaceful attitude around like it was the swine flu. He even gave Frieza a chance to be forgiven and change his ways (you know, Frieza, the one who destroyed his homeworld, incinerated his father in the explosion, killed Krillin, and kicked the s**t out of his son). He just let Vegeta escape too!!! VEGETA, just let him go home and heal up…
!!! MAN, the Wolverine movie did Wolverine more justice, and he killed people, LOTS OF PEOPLE
.
IT’s all about the CHARACTER of Goku and his kind hearted, peaceful, yet focused, charismatic, and inspirational way of being that should be maintained through out the “evolution” of the DragonBall story, not some fantasy world portrayed in MANGA universe. I could care less if the details are off or the colors don’t match, or the characters are older and all that…GOKU IS GOKU IS GOKU…NOT EMO
So here’s what I think (the rest of what I think)
(1)Ok, so if Charlize Theron can have color changing clothes, hair that changes color with the wink of an eye, dodge grass blades that sharpen, and pull a sword out of her chest in the ULTRAVIOLET movie about a F**n vampire virus in the future, BULMA CAN HAVE BLUE F****n HAIR, AND GOKU CAN KEEP HIS HAIR-DO!!!! This guy has the lamest excuse ever about the hair. So what if its Dragonball ‘Evolution’ I hardly think kid Goku would ‘evolve’ into a depressed, i hate my life, woe is me, and why do i have to save the world, lil emo B**ch Boy, with a Jean Pierre le Gaywad haircut.
(2)PICCOLO’S NOT EVEN GREEN!! OR OLD!! NAMEKians, like its supposed to be spelled (not namik), are green, scaley skinned, lizardy people, that can regenerate severed limbs, have pink muscles and antennae.
Not some awesome, dark colored, spacegear outfit that looks like the Village People gone wrong, with skin like ‘Powder’(the electric man…. if you didn’t see the movie go watch it), or somebody who lived in a cave their whole life.
(3)If the Matrix can have a ripple of shockwaves across a skyscraper, a million and one Agent Smiths getting thrown around by a steel pole, and the massive fight scene at the end of the third one with all the flying and expanding water bubbles, THAN THIS MOVIE BETTER F*n ROCK!!!
But……. It is what it is….
I’m so disappointed…. AND I’VE ONLY SEEN THE TRAILER AND THIS F***N INTERVIEW….
Y’all should have used the concept designs from the guy you fired four days into his job… his piccolo is much better, and old… like the original piccolo is supposed to be, what, 400 years old or whatever.
Mystics from the old world didn’t create earth’s Dragonballs… Kame did, as a precaution, in the shadow of the ORIGINAL Dragonballs created by the namekian mystics in ancient namek times on the planet NAMEK. This guy on Youtube did a better Piccolo costume for less than $40!! AND THE MOVIE’s BUDGET WAS HALF A MIL!!! WTFWTFWTF!!!!
