Oozaru and Piccolo Concepts
Alex Tuis, a concept artist for Dragonball: Evolution, recently posted some of his artwork for the film on his official website. With not much else to report, it’s definitely worth a look if you’re interested in what could have been if they had chosen his designs. Click here to see his concept art for Piccolo and Oozaru.
The idea was to make something original and a little bit different from the Manga or the animated tv show. At this stage, I did not know who will play Lord Piccolo.I worked only four days on this movie. I hope to be on the next one, with more time.

DB was a slapstick comedy with funny action sequences. in a manga u cant rly show fights in the descriptive way u can in a cartoon. all u watched was a cartoon. u wanna know what ur talkin about, pick up a book (manga). just cuz DBZ had a fight every 3 or 4 episodes, that lasted 3 or 4 episodes doesnt change a thing. this is DB, not DBZ, and DB carried in long sagas. the fights that were big were minimal, most were just funny ways goku defeated ppl. unlike DBZ, where almost every fight was as energetic and explosive as the one b4 it.
and dont come at me with your shit like that

alright time to comment….well about the movie…yea it kinda sucked…but it was a good attempt. now about the Oozaru and other stuff i hope they change for the next movie, Considering he had no tail, this is the way i would like to think of it to make a link from this movie to the next…
He was only half transformed, like he didnt go Full Oozaru…this is what i would like to think they were shooting for, and then when Vegeta or any of the others (if they will it) transform with the tail…they go full Oozaru. which i hope they make Full monkey size and as close as the middle drawing on that thing as possible. And since Piccolo is coming back hopefully he gets a lil diff with the look, since he was old in the movie, most likely he’ll be wishing himself younger in the next or something… causing a better costume to arise from the makeup artists and such. what else…hmm….ah about piccolo’s knowledge about Oozaru…maybe he doesnt know the full extent, when the movie (if it goes that far) gets to Gohan after Raditz and Piccolo decides to train him, hopefully he gets a lil surprise when gohan goes full Oozaru….then he thinks back to Raditz and figures it out, thats what the tail is for, access to full transformation! so gohan rampages and he cant get to his tail, so he then decides BLOW UP THE MOON!! haha! hmm…..am i missing anything…i know i prbly skipped around there in the anime but im just noting some differences i hope they make…oh and pls try not to make it for kids…late teens to adults are worth it…kids wont understand….they just know “ooh! lots of action and funny.” pls make it for us!!

I was never against the Idea of a black piccolo it doesnt mean a damn to me what color he is if he acts well. If there’s a reboot I think jon foo would be a good goku an it would end the dispute of goku being white or asian because jon foo is both.
Who ever knows if we will see another dragonball movie I dont want to be pessimistic but really who knows. I dont know if any studio will touch this again or if fox will reboot it. I would rather see a well thought out sequel to fix what the first one did wrong but I dont know if either will happen.
God this movie sucked balls………never bashed the movie before but looking back on it now after watching x-men and star trek I have to say that this movie was no where close to the quality of those films. How fucking depressing. I waited years and years for this movie and all I get for my waiting is absolute shit. Fuck Fox and fuck shitty acting. On a nicer note this site provided excellent information about the movie throughout its production. It was fun while it lasted but now that its over I am out of here. Until the next movie if there ever is one. Only 10,000,000 domestic? FUCK!!

Joel, you’re a moron. Oozaru is correct. FUNimation (the version you probably watched) butchered the name and called him “Great Ape,” but that’s not the real name.
