Honest, Fox, You need to listen closely to what Im about to say, and wipe off all the people who say im wrong cause they can’t imagine, not even concieve my statement in the movie industry. As you can see the fan art of piccolo looks like an old man, napharatue of that old as vampire movie. Honest, it looks the same as the last piccolo you pulled off in DBE. Screw the spectators haters whatever you call them who will bash what im about to say, cause remember they agree with everything dispite DBE’s failure to caputre a real fan based audience. What I propose and hope you do, is Look closely at tyrese gibsons facial features and the way he carries himself. Im black, and wouldnt mind casting a black man as an alien like warph on star trek, it only brings us closer to assimilation with white america. But back to tyrese, his features exude youth all over, Yes he has dark skin which could be perfect for offsetting that strange grayish tint that you always see in the end result when you use a white guy, Please fox look past race and do the right thing to save a good character. Plus with the acting, I know your tired of haveing vampireish characters, well I got a visual that I want you to really percieve, think buster ryhmes as an evil lord. Not cause he’s a rapper, like most stupid lame fake fans of dragon ball z will with no doubt say ” Piccolo would be stupid if he was a rapper” No. That is not my point, my point is the difference in personas from a vampier to a rasta lord, maybe even blade like. Piccolo would be perfect if he had that same mentality. Please don’t listen to any stupid ass people who only think in black n white usally sideing with the white side, not cause of race, but cause they really don’t percieve what im saying and just want to side with what they know. All you need is some light colored green, maybe even neon green to apply the highlighted areas of tyrese’s head, like the forehead, cheeks, nose, chin and lips. That is all you need, plus like the egyptians who were both black and arab, originaly black from the first kingdom, Blacks look amazing in gold, so make him tight. And trust me, having one character on point only magnifies the intensity of how much you payed attention to detail in the movie, thus bringing the movie back to its home universe. Just keep that script real, so you can remake DBE, cause that sucked, no matter how many carnival pole riders disagree, the movie was not even close to the original movie. And the petition shows that you can’t always follow the majority cause america was at first built on popular demand rather than what was right, Its not until we started supressing the popular demand, that led to us becoming more favored throughout the world. Realy concider my thoughts and Ideas on having a black piccolo, If you wanted I could litteraly photoshop it up or even draw my own concept art that would put the artist you have to shame, no joke. I even have a 250 collection of prism markers waiting to be touched again. And my pen tablet needs a few more scrapes in the drawing window.

Haqq shut up your a moron, I wouldnt mind a black piccolo though whats the diffrence. I always was a fan of wesly snipes myself though.

@Haqq: That Alex Tuis is an amazing artist, so I think “putting him to shame” might be a little too much.

the middle oozaru looked good which i think looked similar to the one in the film, but the onyl bad thing was, it was too small!! oozaru should be like KING KONG!!

@thaMC: Because of “X-Men: The Last stand”

X-men the Last Stand was a little above average, but It wasn’t what I was hoping for in the Trilogy. They should have kept Bryan Singer. Bryan Singer would of done a better job with PHoenix. Phoenix was not suppose to die. She was suppose to be captured and brain washed by SINISTER X and then become the Phoenix. Plus there wasn’t enough action in the Last Stand. Bryan Tyler would have completed that. Bryan did a wonderful job with the X-men films. X2: United is the best by far out of the whole series.
I gave X-Men The Last Stand a 7/10…. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was much, much better. I gave “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” a 9/10!!

@Son Goku: Whats the difference, have you ever seen any black movies, let alone movies with black bad guys. Anyway my point is you’ll get a whole different apearence of piccolo instead of a vampie or mummy like character. The acting wont be as dry as an england king gone evil, rather the acting of a black guy playing evil will be straight from the jungle, barbaric, deepseeded, and alien compared to a buffy vampire. Honest without prejudice or racist attributes, give me feedback, do you think that the character of piccolo would be better portrayed as a jungle root cultural, black gangster, thug set as a warlord with a prison inmate like tone who only sees the world as being his homeland, by speaking in riddled dialog that shadows gokus simplistic dialog. Or do you think that Chatwins dry dialog almost on the same category of englands movies, like the chronicals of narnia’s evil king. When I saw dragonball for the first time, my views of piccolo was that of an outcast, African decsent, that nobody understood, but he still seemed motivated to change the world in his image, regardless of his amnesia of his homeworld. The more serious fox takes this movie, the better it will be. I want the movie to be almost shakspearian. Thus casting the roles with people that actually exude the vibe of being alien. Which is why I kinda think that goku should be asian, cause gokus culture resembles the asians entirely. And vegeta who wont be until later, resembles the middle easters entirely, by the way they both aspire to be, and show the world that they are the domanate race.

If you want something on the scale of the concept artists abilities, just ask, I can do it in water color, photoshop, illistrator, and much much more detailed and shaded to realistic light sources. I can even show a way to invert the hues of a dark man into a green man, you just need to invert the principles of applying makeup to a light skinned individual.

I can even write a full character detailed, dialoged, and scene ambiant script, that can suffice even the cheepest budget. I just don’t want fox to F+++ the test of creating a good sci-fi anime movie, when there options for making real money are way open!

@haqq: I was never saying you weren’t talented, just that the concept work shown above are just rough sketches, and that he has some pretty nice work on his site. I’d love to see some of your work, though, since I love seeing fellow artist’s different styles, ideas, etc.

if they decided to do DB in Speed Racer style, than they schould put this old decrepite piccolo in the movie, looks way better and more like piccolo daimao

@Burter: Can’t help but agree with you there.

I don’t know if this has been said yet but did you guys know that this movie was made during the writers strike! Which would make since that the movie feels rushed and incomplete. This would explain alot of stuff. And the script changes as they film so its not intirelly Ben’s fault. So just think about this and understand that this could have been much better, if not for the writers strike.

Look at kame then look at piccolo, The concept artists drawing looks a hell of alot like kame, and my drawing looks just like piccolo the younger version. Its not rasist for piccolo to be black. If you ask me piccolo should be black, there are many more black people that look like piccolo than white, and im white. James Marsters is kinda good but hes too short. Piccolo should be tall and muscilar.

Oh, I just remembered, Marsters doesnt really have to be jacked for piccolo bcuz he would have to wear a buttload of makeup, or at least maybe a latex suit to give his arms purple muscles and green skin. @haqq: Trust me dude, there’s lots of poeple that could do a lot of Fox’s jobs better than they are. I think their mishaps are caused mostly by the hole telephone game and the boiloing pot thing. As ideas get pitched from one person to another, they get changed or watered down from the original concept. And Fox has to many people sticking their noses into other peoples business that really good things never make it to the big screen. And for the record, I wasnt refering to you as the tool. At least you come up with usefull ideas while others just mindlessly type a bunch of drivel about how we will be saved by goku when the world ends or OMG! OMG! OMG! its stupid how they are making an avatar movie, a death note movie, and they will probably all get good budgets and make some money. i mean, dragonball is very popular and it practically writes itself. how was this so hard? why would they assume it would fail?! they can make dumb movies like the first hulk but not a good db??

get a new director, i like the actors but they need a better script. They need A BUDGET, and they need to not stray off into randomness with the air bending and stuff. Fox seriously needs to concider giving the rights of the movie to lucus arts, I know gorge lucus would not only make this movie look like a real make of dragonball/z but he’d get the casting, scenary, dialog and the vehicles all under budget while saving 51 million dollars making the tickets to the movie cost only 2 bucks. Fox concider your lose as a lesson that could have been evaded if you really listend to the real fans, and hand this movie over to the star wars enterprise. If they can understand sci-fi, they will most certianly understand the ambiance of anime.

and please, if your going to make ozaru, keep it original, no horns, same size as the anime, and the sayian must have a tail that spires the question of what does it do. You already have the dbz fans, there’s no need to impress them with something new. Your objective is to capitolize on new db fans and spectators, All you would have to do is make the movie almost mirroed to the anime, yes you can leave out certian elements like the pig, krillian. I think thats ok, but you need to keep the main elements, goku with a tail, not in school. That just pisses me off, in transformers the main character is suposed to be in college, doesent that tell fox that being in school is not at all original, And kindof shoving a lame philosophical stance down a retro generations throats. And get some good characters, Good characters will pull the script foward I promise you.
