Woohoo! I hope there is a sequel because I really think that they can make something out of this. While Evolution wasn’t just great, you have to take into consideration that they weren’t using that great of a storyline. But with this next movie, if they do the saiyan or maybe even the frieza saga, then this movie could be a blockbuster!

this would be good news if james wong was left out of this, but if they are going to start shooting so soon, then its probably a sequel with the script he supposedly wrote, right?? thats not good

great news for the sequal but we need a different director. I too thought james wong could some how pull this movie off and make it great but it was maybe alright. He just isnt the type of guy who makes these type of fantasy sci fi movies like guillermo del toro. He just has no imagination even though there isnt much need for it when you have a whole saga of dragonball z to go by. Lets hope for the best

1.) I wouldn’t be surprised if it was direct to dvd.
2.) It won’t be any better this is Fox.
3.) This is the same guy that spread tons of misinformation (100 million dollar budget, old and decrepit, blurred the lines between the story from the anime and from DB:E)
4.) This interview was published in May but we don’t know if it was conducted before the movie was released or not.

This is far from “confirmation” as actors in the past have said they are working on a sequel, for the studio to quell down the claims later.

If the rumors is true , which i most case rumors are false, then i believe if they keep it true to the original DBZ sagas then it could be good justin just needs to pack on what 70 pounds or more of muscle and the saiyan back story told right and kami is introduced then maybe success is possible they should not be trying to bring in new fans the should stay loyal to the millions that watched and read the manga and cartoons

awesome news Adam, though some people aren’t excited I know I am, I was never a huge fan of the original dragonball series and only watched it because I like DBZ and GT (though not as much as Z). Hopefully we see this movie move into the better known realm of Z and treated better than DBE. the potential is there and FOX does occassionaly make good movies so we’ll see, I’m excited

personally i hope that they do it, justin doesnt have to pack on that much muscle just yet, cause he was still small in the beginning of dbz, like he could pack on maybe 15 to 20 pounds thats about it. im excited for it of course i did love the first one because i do have an open mind to change since dragonball did have ALOT of different stories, but if they are moving on to dbz thats when they really really have to get serious because the stories are all set in stone (besides the movies)

In Germany the first Dragonball Evolution movie hasn`t start.
It will start on June, 11, 2009.
Some money come to the box office money.
(But I had seen the movie in Japan)
But I hope the sequel will be better.

this movie needs a reboot… just start from scratch and make it good and you’ll get my money, fox. A sequel in hopes that the whole DBZ series will entice me more than the DB series won’t cut it. I want to see a super saiyan real life goku as much as anyone else, but I want to see it done right, not shitty.
