Welcome to Our New Home

Welcome! This is the admin of www.dbthemovie.com, a blog that was dedicated to non-stop coverage of the live-action Dragonball movie.

Unfortunately, the movie is out, and… it’s not very good. As a result, interest in the movie has died down (as well as hits), and I can no longer afford to run DBthemovie.com alone. The good news is, the owner of SaiyanIsland.com graciously offered to host the website on his dedicated server, so our hard work wasn’t for nothing.

But there will be some changes. Namely, this is now a blog dedicated to all aspects of Dragonball, so stay tuned for updates on DVD releases, Dragonball Kai, video games, and of course the live-action movie(s).

We ask that you please be patient while we get everything working. Thank you very much for your support, and your understanding. It’s been a blast following the movie with you guys.

- Adam

Wasup Adam! I anticipate coverage of everything Dragonball on your new home. I was a regular viewer of dbthemovie.com for virtually it’s entire duration. I plan on visiting this site just as much.

I hope we get some Dragon Ball Online info soon. They announced it so long ago and all these years later, very little info has been released.

Hey guys check out the new site for “DBZ: Heritage”. The new film from my film crew is coming soon. Please provide us with feedback! And also let us know the most memorable things from the Saiyan saga and we’ll try to fit them into the film. Also, give us your ideas and we may use those too! Remember, this is a fan project, and therefore will be for the fans (unlike a certain other live action Dragonball movie we all love to hate). We estimate a 3 hours runtime, but we need your help!

Hey thanks for the support, Stephen. The intention is to fix all the crap Fox threw at us by starting over at the Saiyan Saga. It’ll be the DBZ you know and love, but a few surprises I hope you’ll all be pleased with.

By the way, I am going to need time to get used to this site… It just doesn’t feel the same. The last one felt like home. :(

I was going to just say “good” but that would be harsh as its not your fault the movie was fn terrible!

Must admit when i was overseas for work the site kept me sane with daily updates on what i hoped was going to be one of my all time fav movies. As it was i wont even be getting the DVD.

    Thanks for everything.

first time I comment here, and I must say the move seems quite right, I didn’t watch the movie even when I followed all the news about it.
Everything about dragonball is more convenient for the blog now.

We are doing a huge Dragonball promotion at Comic-con this year giving away VIP party passes to the Wrath of Con, Comi-con and Dragonball collectibles and DBE DVD’s. We could use your help to get the word out and we’d love it if one of your fans were the winners. We’ll throw in an additional dollars if the winner comes from your group of followers.

All you have to do is follow http://twitter.com/Dragonball2009 over the next couple of days to win. The details are below, along with the press release.

    The Dragonball Evolution Sweepstakes:
The epicenter of the program revolves around a scavenger hunt that Giant Release created for the release of FOX Home Entertainment’s Dragonball Evolution DVD. The scavenger hunt held on July 24th at the 2009 Comic-Con San Diego convention center was the ideal location to reach Dragonball’s fan base. Followers of http://twitter.com/Dragonball2009 receive a tweet every 15 minutes over a three hour timeframe offering a clue to where seven “Dragonballs” were hidden inside the convention center. When each “Dragonball” is found, the winner receives the ultimate Dragonball Evolution DVD prize package which includes exclusive Comic-Con collector items, a Dragonball Evolution DVD and a VIP pass to the Wrath of Con party event at the Hard Rock Hotel. Dragonball Evolution was given the opportunity to showcase the DVD on plasma screens and main stage area throughout Wrath of Con to leading online entertainment and comics editors, celebrities and lucky fans.

Ok so I just saw the movie. I was not expecting much, and well it was kind of a fun movie. True they changed a bunch of stuff. Some of it worked and some did not. Like bulma and chichi are really anoying in the anime. I like the screen versions better especially chichi. Jamie Chung rocked. So it was not a great movie I just hope the whole thing is not scraped and they still make anouther. Hey Blood Rayne sucked and they did anouther. But i heard that sucked also. bad example. I did all the motion capturing for the bloodrayne 2 video game and I still never even saw the movie. The game rocks though. I hope you like my kicks.

Hey, I wasn’t that bad…I liked the movie. It was better than at least nothing. I’d at least say its better than “Watchmen” (which had a plot that really was lame, it kinda made no sence). So tats good, right? Hey dude, I LIKED IT. Try to keep the next site you make, ok? ^_^
