New Raging Blast Videos

August 24th, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

Many new videos of Dragonball: Raging Blast have surfaced online from Gamescom in Europe. As you can see in the videos, a new character has been made exclusively for this game: SSJ3 Broly. It’s a nice addition to what is essentially an update to Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Dragonball: Raging Blast rages onto the PS3 and Xbox 360 November 10th, 2009.

Thanks to MajinObaDBZ for finding these.

    @Contrazoom

    Maybe it had something to do with the movie being some of the worst garbage most people have ever viewed with their senses?

    ive been on this game for like a year now, and when i heard super sayain 3 broly was on this game tital, i shit myself, the game looks good, this is how i see it, if a dbz game takes really long to make it would be good, if it comes out early its going to be same and boring, the what if storys in this game are insane, but im just woundering what day its coming out on xbox live demo marketplace?

    ok we all know that there are 2 hidden characters we know that the one is ssj3 broly but get this how cool would it be if, it was Dragonball Evolution Goku, think about it though many people dont like Dragonball Evolution we all gotta except its part of the franchise now, and an Evolution character in the next gen games would be cool right o and make it so goku turns into oozaru!

    I really liked Tenkaichi 2. It was such a major improvement over the first one, but after that it looks like Spike completely ran out of ideas. It sucks because even though it’s on the next generation of consoles, it’s using the same physics engine, the cutscene moves and fight areas are for the most part identical to those found in Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3, the fighting animations are also exactly the same. They really need to overhaul that terrible physics engine and get a better graphics engine (it still looks like a PS2 game and start making their DBZ games feel fresh because this might as well be called Budokai Tenkaichi 2.2.

    I’m sorry but there’s no way the addition of Broly with SSJ 3 Goku’s hairdo and day changing to night in the course of a two-minute battle will convince me to shell out another $60 for a game I basically already own. If I never owned any of the BT games, I’d consider this or just use my brain and patience and save my money for Raging Blast 3, but as of now with the creativity level being lower than that of the Madden NFL games, I’ll save my money for Revenge of King Piccolo.

    Wow. After seeing this in action, words cannot express how utterly PS2 this game looks. The character models look as though they’ve been cleaned up a little more with finer cel shading and such, but everything else smacks of last-generation.

    And Super Saiyan 3 Broly? *sigh*. As if that muscleboung lug hasnt been milked enough. I swear, he’s like the Dragon Ball equivalent to Spider-Man’s Venom: An over-rated character without a shred of real personality to him.

    Here’s a great update (about time). More info about Namco-Bandai’s Dragon Ball Online game. After over a year, they finally released a new trailer and some info on it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rQzruLJHk8

    The first seconds of the trailer is the same as the first trailer but the rest is almost entirely new. The music is awesome as well…like a mix between Mario Galaxy and Valkyria Chronicles.

    Here’s some more informative videos. Check out the new Purple Nameks and the new saiyan armor with the yellow gloves.

    it does look like PS2 gfx, but i’m going to get it for online. since namco is publishing it, it shouldn’t have that shitty online experience like the atari’s budokai tenkaichi 3 on wii did.

    @Mike

    I have the PS2 version of BT3 so I cant say much about the online mode, but from what I’ve heard about it I reckon I could probably take a few trips to the toilet in the time it takes a single punch to connect once the lag kicks in, lol.

    My opinion on Raging Blast may change once I actually play it, but for now, the prognosis doesnt look good. As I said before SS3 Broly’s inclusion bugs me cause apart from him being an overrated character (IMO, atleast) it makes me think the developers are just grasping for characters, which is exactly the same thing I thought about Babidi’s inclusion in BT3)

    @ImpulseKid8

    lol, you’re right. Only thing is….characters don’t need much personality to be in a fighting game. You all remember Mario. *yourbrickscanthurtmehere*

    So yeah, Broly’s only appealing to me because he rocks the world of DBZ as far as character design goes; he’s your typical ‘roided-up villain, which always works for fighting games. SS3…..I could honestly care less. If he’s there, he’s there. If he’s not….HEY LOOK, ITS SUNNY OUTSIDE!

    On another not, I have never played a Dragonball Z game in my life, and I wanna start with a really GOOD one. Can anyone tell me what their favorite DBZ (3D console) game was, and give me some reasons why. That would be just peachy.

    @Stan

    “If he’s there, he’s there. If he’s not….HEY LOOK, ITS SUNNY OUTSIDE!”

    I LOL’d :D

    My personal picks…

    - Budokai 3 – By far, the pinnacle of the Budokai trilogy, simplifying the energy attack button combos and really beefing up the gameplay engine to provide for the most energetic experience possible.
    - Burst Limit – A solid start to what is essentially an updated Budokai series for the newest console generation, with graphics so polished and gameplay so fast that I think that for a game that does not strive to copy the anime like the Tenkiachi games do, it does a damn good job of being entertaining.
    - Super Dragon Ball Z – I was always disappointed that this game doesnt seem to get a whole lot of love from the fandom. I think its because of how very different it is compared to other DBZ fighters (what with the use of Street Fighter mechanics and such) but that’s exactly why I like it, it just seems so much better to me. The PAL version sadly lacks the English voice cast and while I dont normally like just having the Japanese voices in a DBZ game, I can let it slide in this case, since the game was released in Japanese arcades.
    - Budokai Tenkaichi 2 – I personally prefer BT2 over 3 because there’s more to do in it besides just picking a battle and fighting, which is why I…wait for it, and I hope you’re not lactose intolerant…rated BT3 a 7 out of 10 on my Youtube channel. (I wonder how many people will start crying BLASPHEMY about this, lol)

    For the curious, I have yet to play DBZ Infinite World because it hasnt been released in Australia. It was meant to be out here last December, a few weeks after its American release, but for some odd reason it has seemingly been delayed indefinitely and I’m currently considering importing a PAL copy from the UK.

    really? huh that would be cool, a super sayain bardock would be cool, but knowing the company they’ll put a version of super saiyan goku face on bardocks body! idk, i think they should just add a dragonball evolution character in the game, but yea super saiyan bardock would be cool
